UPDATE - Updated for 1.6. Still compatible with 1.5 so don't worry about ongoing saves. If there are any problems, let me know!

my pawn doesn't stop trimming to tend to other needs, hunger sleep etc.... the tree doesn't lose any maintenance. but my pawn still keeps trimming.

Finally now these trees can be practical! When i first used these trees i liked the idea until i found out that they require CONSTANT maintenance, basically a dedicated colonist assigned to it and even then i struggled to get it passed 50% or so. No more! Thanks

Hmm. Not sure how they'd conflict, as I do not touch Dryads in my mod file. Perhaps ask the mod maker of More Dryads to see if their mod code has sections referring to the Gauranlen tree and pruning decay.....

I've noticed that I cannot have both this mod and the More Dryads 1.4 mod active at the same time, they seem to override one another in the sense that if I load either mod first the other just doesn't take effect (e.g if I load More Dryads first the Gauranlen Tree produces 8 dryads but have pruning decay) Is there anyway for me to have both mods work at the same time?

I still haven't noticed anything amiss on my end. All I can suggest is to try testing the vanilla tree and see if it's the same bud. If you do, please keep me updated!

It's because when a dryad dies, the connection, and the moss, gets reset. But I theorize that it takes longer for the moss to grow back than for the connection to reach 100. I say this because all my trees have their moss grow slower than the connection, but still reaching the full extent in the end

Hi @ShadowX, are you sure? I personally find that when I plant a tree, I get a lot of moss spawning, which then grows exponentially as I continue to prune the tree. Never picked up on any difference in the spawn rate, so to speak. Perhaps try testing it on vanilla and see if it has a similar growth rate?

Unless the corrupted guaranlen follow a different code, it should work the same (in theory). Make sure to load this after Alpha Animals to be certain!

In my experience moss grows with higher connectivity but I haven't assessed it thoroughly

depends if we take the description to mean that every time the connection increases 2% it will add moss, or it it simply means that for the moss increases based on the level of the connection

It also depends on soil fertility. Is the soil around the tree muddy? If so then it won't spawn there. Only on soils capable of sustaining grass or crops of any kind.

It did start off pretty low and it also lost a dryad which lowered the moss

If you move the tree the moss will dissipate; that I know. Otherwise it will remain (as it would with a normal tree at high pruning level).

You sure? I don't think it's tied to pruning/connection level. The code shows no such link:

would be nice if you could update the mod to link the gaurenlen moss generation to the pruning level instead, but idk if there's an easy way to do that or not. Really don't bother if it's not more than a 2 minute fix

because the gaurenlen tree creates moss around it every 2% gained, not based on the actual % it's at, with this mod once it's at 100% it'll never create any more moss, not a huge issue just kinda ugly
