Autismos, I noticed the problem and uploaded another archive that doesn't have the problem, but the URL is different than the previous archive I uploaded. I deleted the ZIP archive linked in the description of the Workshop item so the link doesn't lead to a file, because both archive files together were over 15 GB, which is more than the amount of space my Google Drive can hold. The problem with the previous archive was that File Explorer didn't support the compression algorithm used in the ZIP file so I switched it to Deflate64, which File Explorer supports. The files refused to transfer into the folder, looked around and realized those were the only files having issues being copied. Ended up deleting it, not worth the hassle.

You can find other people explaining it if you explore the comments but I'll leave it up here anyways.

Create a folder named "custom" in the game directory, will look like this: "\steamapps\common\EntropyZero2\entropyzero2\custom". Then you just drop both of these folders into the custom folder and that's it.

I have the data for this item that was downloaded from what's currently a dead link and it got extracted to my custom folder for Entropy Zero 2. Can I upload it online as a zip file and distribute it as a link in the comments section?

I might still have it on an old drive i will have to look but honestly i dont remember, ill checkout when i have time. As for the gdrive link i dont remember deleting it so my guess is that i deleted it by error while doing some cleenup in my space.

Unfortunatly i think i lost all the files for this mod... If someone still have it id be willing to reupload it, otherwise it might be long gone...

When I put this in my custom folder, will the mods I have via the workshop take load priority over this?

have you tried uploading this as several parts? theres a gmod upscale addon that does this

You dont need to subscribe tot his mod for the simple reason that the old uploader didnt let me upload more then 2 gb. so only the gdrive link you need. Also i think i know why its not working on your side the folder need to be called custom and not customs. Anyway im going to reupload the mod soon because the new uploader i think i will let me upload the whole mod now.

So, talking about that google drive, what's the installation process?
By that i mean:
do i even need to download this addon from workshop?
if yes then in what order - this or the google one first?
do i need to do anything besides creating a customs folder or do i also need to do something with the file names?
and the most important is
What do i do, it doesn't work and i still see blurry half life textures everywhere?

well i started slowly working back on it today. Also just to warn everyone, since the new update with the new workshop publisher integrated in game. I will be abble to publish this mod fully myself but it will be anopther mod page.

Well since im mostly a mapper i was priorizng thoses projects, but now that my ez2 campaign has released i can see having time soon to start working back on it, i will start by doing all the ep2 textures, then goign to fix the textures that needs extra hands work.

When will this mod be finally finished? I really want to play ez2 again with this.

yes it will for ep1, it will also work on ep2 ,however i didnt made all the ep2 textures yet, so most of them will be in vanilla, but thats gonna be fully included with v1.0

If you only add the folder called (entropy zero 2 hl2 and ep upscaled) yes cause this folder only has hl2 textures, it also has the whole game textures in 4k so i know it will work.

not sure if this was asked before but if i add the files to HL2/EP1 will it work?

the workshop images nearly crashed my pc, thats how detailed this mod is

@Fona_Fett I think you're okay if you subscribe to this addon, however, you have to install part 2 afterwards and then either put it in custom folder of EZ2 or just replace the files in the EZ2 folder

if I Subscribed am I still ok to just install or should I fix some folders first?

as it said it makes every textures looked HD on bigger objects but got that weird ai distortion on some of the smaller ones but overall i liked it
