Star Wars Ore Version of this mod?

Updated August 21, 2024 to game version 0.27.0

The game was built to tell you the mod has not been updated with the 'current' version of the game. That does not mean it will not work as most mods will work fine without the constant updating of a simple "version number" in the mod itself.

@CurtimusPrime92 - Yes, that is the person even though my mod is different and consistent with my other mods having to do with mining. If he wants to be a jerk, that is fine, I don't care, I can play the mod just fine on my own.

@Dahak - I have sent a request to steam to find out, since the linked community guidelines had no rules against the mod. I assume somebody felt I took their 'idea' which I didn't, but even that is not against the rules.

@Dahak - Apparently that mod was taken down by steam. I actually had an update for it to give a better mix of ore in each asteroid, but since steam has taken issue with it there is nothing I can do about it. Sorry about that.

Did you take your larger asteroid mod down? The link seems to be broken.

I uploaded another mod that increases the number of ore veins that spawn in an asteroid.

That mod works perfectly with this mod, so you can double the veins of ore, and increase the drop rate of mined ores if you wish.

@pick, yes you can add it to an existing game. Just beware Cosmoteer does not let you remove mods once it is part of your save game.

@Dewa - Everything is persistent at this time in the game.

Asteroids in (vanilla) game are persistent right? they don't respawn once mined

@Steel Elysium - I just mined one of the huge carbon asteroids from within the star corona danger zone, picked up 8 diamonds with no errors. A mod should give an error report if there is a problem. PC freezes usually means there is a hardware or heat problem. Also, make sure you do not have any other mods that might rename 'diamonds' as a drop in the game.

That would make sense! Technically diamonds can be MADE. They're not as rare as people think they are :)

The next time I update the mod, the hard Carbon ore veins 2 and 3 will drop 1 or 2 diamonds in addition to the Carbon.

Same bug for me

Mod causes a crash upon entering the settings menu once a game has started. The error complains about no path to a strings file/folder inside your mod.
