This was because you had both mods subscribed. Unsubscribing the official one would have helped. But yeah, everything is fine now, with the official release 👌

The official medieval overhaul 1.4 has been released.

Therefore, I will hide this mod in the workshop soon. If you have a running game, you can finish it without problems.
If you want to try out the official, new content, I recommend you start a new game, because some things have changed, as you can see on the official workshop page.

having the same issue as mentioned earlier, butchered animals are not dropping pelts. I was only able to get pelts off of Muffalo, nothing but meat from other vanilla animals.

Thank you for patching this. I would love to find the time and someone to teach me how in small slow words. lol. I have a colony closing in on 10 years in game and without this it would mess it all up.

@MEOW MEOW : sure they exist. you either have to research rustic furniture or start with a medieval overhaul specific scenario, in which case that research is already completed. You can find the MO custom furnitures in the architect menu "Rustic Furn.".

@Brokentoy324 : Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this bug. All the animals you mentioned drop the corresponding hide after slaughter. Do you still have a subscription to the official mod? If so, I would suggest unsubscribing to it temporarily. I will push an in-game update news as soon as the official mod has been updated.

So i do not know why but only some animals are giving me hides. Megasloths and bears have worked. Gazelles, Does, Bucks, and Donkeys are not. I have tested this with these specific creatures. I run a ligth modlist. can anyone give me any advice? I have tried waiting for end of life stage as well

Unfortunately, adding (unofficial) in the name in About.xml seems to break the patching operations in Medieval Overhaul Tweaks. Changing it back to just Medieval Overhaul restored all the tweaks.

@LunarSlayer : This has happened to me as well, it's because you probably still subscribe to the official mod. You can unsubscribe for now, if everything goes according to plan i will let an ingame pop-up pop up once the official one has been updated.

unsure if it's steam or rimworld or the mod being weird; but it's suddenly not showing up in my modlist. No matter how many times I reinstall it doesn't show up. Again, could be something I'm doing or just steam being dumb but letting you know in case it's on the mod end xx

Did something changed regarding wood logs? Before update wood logs stored 4or more stacks of wood. Now it is only 2 stacks. mb something happened with Deep Storage mod.
EDIT: Yes. Deep Storage has some problems right now. Probably should wait until it is fixed. eh... Sometimes i think that it is better for devs to stop adding content to their game and let modding community do what they want. I honestly dont see anything in Biotech that hasnt been done better with mods. Mb mechanoid groups...

@(◣_◢) Dont worry. I think everything works fine. Like i said. For some reason Rimworld changed my mod load order, this was main reason for erros. I just thought about your mod first because other 2 showed up red and asked for original Medieval Overhaul.

@Alt : I forgot to change the PackageID when uploading... since I have multiple copies locally, I keep changing it.

You can either change the PackageID in the About.xml file of the mod, or wait until I'm home again in the evening.

oh, never mind. I think RImworld had a fart and for some reason reorganized my modlist. Rimfantasy and Mideval overhaul royalty loaded before Rimedieval and this caused my game to have many errors upon loading. I moved them after Rimedieval.
Those 2 mods still gives me red warning that they require Medieval Overhaul to operate. But otherwise everything is fine.

After last update RimFantasy - Medieval Overhaul and Medieval Overhaul:Royalty gives error. Those 2 mods Requires Medieval Overhaul to operate. Without it patches from these mods do not load. I think it is because you changed your mod ID.
Cant play anymore without them. God I hate steam's auto update. Ruined my game save.

Compatability with Combat Extended: one just need to replace all "<li>Medieval Overhaul</li>" to "<li>Medieval Overhaul (unofficial)</li>" in all files in "Patches\Medieval Overhaul\" relative to Combat Extended mod folder. Since this mod is temporary, then may be just include this patch to this particular update? It should be pretty easy, i think.

@Earl of Wessex : I have released an update to fix the error that occurs when a balista is empty. I also spawned some balista bolts and it seems that the pawns reload the balista automatically.

@Alek : Please take a look at the discussion area and try the fix.

@Earl of Wessex : I think there is a little problem with the balliste at the moment, at least I got countless error messages yesterday when I wanted to test it.... Could be the reason why they don't reload automatically, because that should work.
Will take a closer look again as soon as I have time.

Have a very weird bug where Butchering and Making Blocks from stone chunks is impossible. Pawns finish the work, but nothing gets created and animal/chunk just stays there. Pawns will repeat and repeat the same task with nothing happening. Does it happen with anyone else or is it something that my mods are breaking?

@Alu : Before the 1.4 update, he was working on a big expansion for MO. With new factions, more armor, new weapons, a new research mechanic (similar to techprints), new monsters, new structures (production buildings, walls, ....).
Understandably, he finishes everything and then updates the mod.

Many of these things can be seen in His Discord, where he shows some things he is working on and sometimes lets the community vote on changes.
