Can there be an option for increase or decrease recovery by multiplier? Without tending of course.

@Victor its not a dependency, this mod should work with a default value to those who don't want to add XML Extensions.

Same here, can't use any settings other than absolute minimum or absolute maximum.

Try deleting the mod and installing it again.
i'm not sure why but steam is refusing to update it properly, so a reinstall should fix this.
also can you confirm if this worked or not? i can't test this problem because its working fine in my side here.

I can't change the recovery speed to anything but the absolute lowest setting. Where is the setting stored? I can't find the settings file

idk how is that problem happening, im playing with over 200 mods in my game and never got this issue.

But for sure this mod only needs to be loaded after XML Extensions.

This mod keeps jumping into an invalid position on my mod list. I keep having to hit auto-sort to get it to go below the xml extensions again. Any idea why?

@KingArthurGames currently the only way is to use Debug mode, i tried to do something about it to not depend on it but i only ended up with more errors ):

No the range is fine, but when trying to adjust the amount the slider just jumps from -0.01 to -5 (at least for me). I changed the amount through the config files and it displays the correct amount in the middle of the spectrum. But when I tried to change it again with the slider in-game, the same problem as discripted above took place.

I can only change the values to -0.01 and -5 and nothing in between.

finally its done, i couldn't polish the float numbers but i have already been working on this part for the past 3 days.
im no developer so i can't do any better.

So... you have 2 mods... One is "Every 2 days" which seems a little fast, and one is "every 20 days" which is pretty chonky....

Any chance you could just make 1 mod that has a configuration of "How long?" defaulting at 20 that cheesy people like me tired of an army of prisoners to rip from can make somewhere between? I feel like for my personal cheesiness 7-ish is proper. (will use the 2 in the meantime i think...)

emm? not sure what you are pointing at.
Severity doesn't change at all in vanilla, but in my mod... they decrease when tended.
is that what you wanted?

I enabled the dev tools as well as debug tooltips but I'm not sure what stats I should be looking at. I looked at the severity stats of each hediff and neither seems to change when the pawn is tended.

this mod is only 3 lines of code patch, it edits the base game hediff and makes GeneRegrowth acts like flu, thus becoming tendable.
i tried adding more but every time i did this... it caused a huge amount of incompatibilities with the core game and other mods ):

i hope in the future someone would make a better mod for accelerating gene growth, i just made this patch because i was surprised no one touched it yet, Sadly the base code is very fragile and i would rather not make any new additions to it.

Before I use this mod does this just overhaul all regrowing so that everyone with regrowing genes will need tending every 5 hours?

If so, can you make it optional instead? Like have an operation called "Artificial/Accelerated Gene Regrowth" or something that makes it tendable so the doctor work overtime on every single regrowth every 5 hours and drain all the medicine.

@Ⓥⓔⓡⓡⓘⓒ The problem has been fixed, but due to steam (because it sometimes doesn't update the mod version), you need to manually delete the old mod file and re-download the new version of the mod.

@TheBigCheese146 Sadly the problem is not in my side, its MedPod excluding the healing which is somewhat resulting in a loop, i know a fix but it involved editing MedPod it self which is not ideal, but Don't worry! the dev already has a planned fix for this issue! :steamthumbsup:
i THINK if you tend the pawn then the MedPod will not loop heal the pawn, so yea Give that a try.

The update is working thank you! There is an issue with the medpod mod as is constantly attempts to repair the health condition added by the mod but cannot, leaving the pawns stuck in the mod

Update for the fixed version, "nothing" should go wrong but these errors are damm unpredictable so tell me if something wrong happened.

Yes, I also encountered the same problem, unable to extract genes, the pawns can not leave the gene extractor normally, only by dismantling the extractor can the pawns be rescued. I checked the newly added mods and there were no problems, it was not caused by them, so I started to check the mods that have been updated recently. Then I found out that there was something wrong with this mod.

I've tried running it separately from other related mods, but it doesn't work, so maybe it's not a mod incompatibility issue.

Really like this mod, I think the way this mod works is more reasonable and more interactive than directly modifying the time it takes to regenerate genes. Looking forward to your next update~

I can confirm that I am having the same issue as ennis. Does not extract and the pawn gets stuck under the extractor

Yesterday all was good and i could extract genes in the Gene Extractor, but since i started playing today, my pawns got all stuck in the Gene Extractor. Thought its another mod, but that was not the Case. Disabled the Gene regrowing and all is good again. Can you look into that? i really like the faster gene regrowing

That error is pretty harmless, but i will try to find out the problem soon! :steamthumbsup:
its probably just an empty space added somewhere wrongly.
