@burpel You have to have the add-on "dress patients" and then you have someone "dress" them with it
Luke Vale 10. apr. 2024 kl. 20:30
Though that might be a rimpy error mostly.
Luke Vale 10. apr. 2024 kl. 20:29
@Sugarstar The mod still asks for the old name of the mod as it's dependency for 1.4
Which causes it to throw errors at rimpy.

bro how do you get the person with the shattered spine to use it, my guy cant pick it up because his back is broke.

@Sugarstar,

I was able to update the mod.
OddsBodskins 3. apr. 2024 kl. 20:59
You might get in touch with Mlie about it if you have interest in updating to 1.5. Not saying you have to at all, but they might just do it for you. Not trying to volunteer anyone for anything, they just tend to update a lot of mods to newer versions. I heard sometimes it's pretty simple, but I suspect with a lot of the changes in 1.5 that won't be the case. Best of luck either way, if I knew how I would help haha

@MarpatNinja I had to pay someone to update this mod to 1.4. I don't know how to code at all. So if you want to chip in to fund updating it, you can join the mod marketplace discord (https://discord.gg/rmgUKhqrK5) and work on that, haha. But I don't hve the funds to do that right now.
MarpatNinja 26. mar. 2024 kl. 13:37
Any chance of a 1.5 update?
JayleeVT  [ophavsmand] 12. juli 2023 kl. 8:05
Unfortunately I know nothing about coding... I commissioned this from someone to make just to upgrade it to 1.4 so I can't really make changes to it 'cause I don't know how... >_<

@VulpineVandal one solution would be to have the wheelchair's speed proportional to the pawn's manipulation. So with archotech arms for instance they might be able to move at full walking speed, but if both of their arms are injured they have a much harder time moving at all.
VulpineVandal 18. juni 2023 kl. 21:32
I have noticed that the wheelchair moves at the same speed the pawn would have used if they were able to walk on their own. The guy with paralytic abasia is just zoomin' around since his movement speed is unaffected by his medical condition, but the guy whose legs are actually damaged moves slow.
I wonder if theres a way to override that and set a universal speed for the wheelchair at say baseliner standard movement speed. I feel like that wouldn't be too OP with the same manipulation debuff.

seems like when i build a wheelchair out of wood it just vanishes

What slot do wheelchairs fill? Utility? Legs?
DerpyCrafter 26. dec. 2022 kl. 14:58
who needs wheelchairs when you can just get robot legs
Pearasect 2. dec. 2022 kl. 19:26
I made a version of this mod that makes the wheelchairs compatible with children, would it be alright to upload it?
Chummy 24. nov. 2022 kl. 16:14
Yeah same, I tried this twice with the old version and new version and it just doesn't work on child colonists. It isn't even in the gear tab, like it just steals your components and steel. If this could get fixed it would be great so that bedridden children can get their learning xp
Paco Wallo III 19. nov. 2022 kl. 14:38
It seems like when placed on child colonists, the wheelchair dissapears completely. It doesn't unequip, it just ceases to exist. This is true for both the 1.4 and previously unupdated 1.3 mod
Pretty Silly CatGirl 11. nov. 2022 kl. 11:05
I remember playing this game about 5/6 years ago, and I had a catatonic colonist teen who I kept alive for two seasons just to realize that he was awake and was sad to be bedbound, and I searched for so long for a wheelchair mod. I feel happy now knowing I can make use of this now if I had that story play again. Thank you so much!

I pull up
hex: big fart 6. nov. 2022 kl. 7:18
@sugarstar - it was them taking it off, didn't realise that it was not automatically selected int he allowed clothing items. Thanks for help!
JayleeVT  [ophavsmand] 6. nov. 2022 kl. 2:47
@hex: big fart - Most of the time when colonists "fall out of the wheelchair" (do you mean take it off?) it's because of something with their outfit settings. Make sure wheelchair is selected as an option for them and that they aren't trying to put on something that fills this slot. (for example the dreamweaver buckskin or w/e it's called from the rimworld of magic mod has a "utility slot" in it and for some reason they always take off their wheelchairs to wear that armor)

Tnx for the update :)
hex: big fart 4. nov. 2022 kl. 9:47
my colonist keeps falling out of the wheelchair, unsure why this keeps happening.

they have a shattered spine hence the need for the chair
FattyFattyBoombalatty 2. nov. 2022 kl. 15:52
@lilwhitemouse - I looked through devmode to see if there were children wheelchairs but no luck. Unfortunately, the entire colony got murdered, kidnapped, infected, plagued, and starved over the course of a few days in game so my problem is technically solved. Thanks anyway!

Do I still need dress patients for 1.3?
Runzu 2. nov. 2022 kl. 9:57
I love keeping my colonists mobile with this and it especially helps when someone has paralytic abasia. I wonder if there could be a precursor for tribal/medieval research and something for spacer era? Not everything needs to be replaced with a prosthetic. And could make some interesting gameplay/roleplay opportunities.
lilwhitemouse 2. nov. 2022 kl. 9:07
@mrkdmatt - maybe there need to be special children's wheelchairs? Or some flag in the wheelchair that lets children use it (like how children can wear flophats, but not adult parkas)?
JayleeVT  [ophavsmand] 1. nov. 2022 kl. 15:42
@Soul of Lilith - I updated the description to put you as the commissioner in two places. I think I have to add you as a friend to include you as a contributor. (I've never uploaded a mod to steam before so bear with me >_<)
FattyFattyBoombalatty 1. nov. 2022 kl. 14:54
My 5 year old with a shattered spine can't seem to use it. I allowed it in his clothing but it just disappears entirely when trying to dress him. Any idea what could be happening?
Daban 1. nov. 2022 kl. 11:38
Didnt know there was a mod for this! I always thought it should be a feature in vanilla and if i was gonna make a mod it would have been this. awesome thanks
