So, it won't let me install the Advanced or Hyper ones. It says I need a normal one even though I have it.

You really should be able to make and use the BASIC bandwidth enhancer before the final Ultra mechtech research.

UPDATE:

Just confirm that after loading this mod AFTER Better Quest Rewards, hyper enhancer appears in some quests, Not sure about the full list but at least in pollution dump quests I've seen them.

I have the same problem. I dont have Quest Reward Rebalance, but havent seen hyper enhancer either. The only mods I use directly about quests are More Quests and Better Quest Rewards. But maybe a Vanilla Expand mod also touched the quests. pr a storyteller mod may also change the questing behavior.

I use Rimpy as mod sorter, Ill try to setup custom rule by putting this mod after other quest mods to see if it changes anything. But anyway I dont really care about hyper enhancer honestly, the base + advanced 12 levels is already more than enough.

Played 100 hours colony, got to golden floors, walls and furniture and got 0 quests for hyper enchanter. Looks like Quest Reward Rebalance mod breaks possibility to get hyper enchanter as reward. May I ask you to make OP version of your mod with bill to craft hyper enchanter? My thought is if you can get it you can disassemble it and assemble again so maybe for kind of balance to craft hyper enchanter you can make bill with requirements like persona core, 6 high subcores and advanced components

@I exist: Sorry if it sounded demanding! I was just wondering if it was something on my end, as I saw you mentioned to someone else that it should be working fine, but I think that was for 1.5? Either way, I can confirm it loads up without any errors on 1.4! Thank you again for the must-have mod, and for keeping it updated well ahead of time!

Heya! Did you ever end up pushing the update? You may need to separate the files into 1.4 and 1.5 folders, since on 1.4 the issue is still not resolved and I receive this error [pastebin.com] when loading the game. Basically reverting whatever change you had prior to this, since it was working perfectly, it was just this recent update that broke it for 1.4. Thanks for the wonderful mod! :love:

Sweet, thanks for this. Right now this is the only mod I know of for 1.5 that lets you increase bandwidth that doesn't fill up your base with those personally ugly antenna things.

@Vagineer1 It appears 1.5 updated a line that indicated you needed to analyze a mech chip to research it and I didn't notice until you told me. Oops. Should be fixed now, plus I modified it so you only need to analyze the chip instead of learning ultra mechtech first.

bubbli I dont think its too OP from my playthrough, the cost of each bandwidth enhancer is pretty high, making it well balanced IMO. I even think this mod should be canonized like wall light mod in 1.5. It makes no sense that psycastor has upgradable implant level but not mechanitor.

If you have multiple mechanitors, it doesnt worth using enhancers. Instead you can spend the precious nanochips into alot of other stuffs, making more war queens, repair probes, waste atomizers, mechlord suits, etc., let alone each enhancer costs also two other chips. Like the author said the enhancer is for solo mechanitor playstyle.

@Гений Yes, Advanced Bandwidth Enhancers have a recipe so you can craft them, but the hyper-advanced ones do not have a crafting recipe so you need to get it via quests or looting.

Hi mate, thanks for such valuable mod. Just wanted to make sure that everything is correct. You've added advanced bandwith enhancers bill but haven't made the same for hyper, right? So only way of getting it is quests reward?

I request something similar to Actual Final Boss. a config to change the maximum number of implants, maybe an option to remove the maximum. Still cool mod tho ^^

Could you add an option to increase the maximum number of implants a pawn can install? Or even an option that uncaps it entirely? Alternatively if it isn’t possible to increase the cap, would you be able to create more tiers of this implant that are more expensive to create, but also allow for stacking up to 6?

or an implant that can be added to the mechs which turn the bandwidth of said mech to 1 or 0
of course they will be expensive and need a specific level for the correct type of mech like standard to high for more mechs.

im the type who likes to make impossible armies to beat since i fight void so this would help maybe you can also make an implant that can increase on bandwidth once a week or month rimworld time meaning 3days or 10days.
but if you read this pls make them i need the bandwidth

what about a bandwidth node that increases in bandwidth in exchanged for power so all that would be needed is to make power in order to get more bandwidth idk if it should deactivate when a solar flare happens so you can decide on that.

This is exactly what we need, and some people may not understand it. In fact, many people use race mods that cannot use the original human equipment, or are ugly after being equipped. However, if body implants are adopted, it will be a good solution:steamhappy:

Surprised this wasn't a base game implant to be honest, and as such this was bound to become a mod at some point. :)
