This needs an update for the Rift stars.
Scyobi_Empire 10 Nov, 2024 @ 4:47am
The original version was one of my favourite mods on the workshop, thank you for this fork
paulo 7 May, 2024 @ 2:01pm
Thanks for explaining the problem.
Hunter 495 7 May, 2024 @ 1:37pm
That's just how Starlight changes lighting, since there's not a star there anymore, it doesn't have a light to cast on the ships, so it just uses the ambient light.
paulo 20 Mar, 2023 @ 10:40am
There is something wrong with the ship visualizer... the image is so dark that it's almost impossible to see the details in some ships.
Big Sneezy  [author] 16 Mar, 2023 @ 2:34pm
There's a good chance it isn't, and I'm not currently maintaining my Stellaris mods. Someone can look into it and release their own version, or wait until I get back to the game and am able to make updates.

Might be a mod conflict on my end but I'm pretty sure this isn't compatible with 3.7
Big Sneezy  [author] 27 Feb, 2023 @ 12:43pm
From the base mod, this is Real Space "compatible". Real Space should not be required.
Frigglish 23 Feb, 2023 @ 4:20am
Looking at the files, yes, there's data for the new stars added by Real Space in the lights and entities files. It's essentially Real Space required in its current state. Which will at least save me having to patch it myself.
Porter 13 Feb, 2023 @ 8:51pm
I'm guessing this is also real sopace compatible and also thank you for this
Big Sneezy  [author] 13 Feb, 2023 @ 10:53am
An update.. for what?
Bobbe Malle 12 Feb, 2023 @ 8:47pm
Hi, does it need an update?
Big Sneezy  [author] 21 Dec, 2022 @ 4:13pm
Oh so this crashed without real space, but worked fine with it? Interesting. I didn't touch anything related to Real Space in this update, and I believe the original was intended to work with or without Real Space.
Pathfinder 21 Dec, 2022 @ 4:03pm
Never mind, I resolved it by pairing it up with Real Space and its subsequent sub mods lol
Big Sneezy  [author] 21 Dec, 2022 @ 3:49pm
Can either of you pastebin your modlists? I haven't been able to reproduce any crashes with this mod.
Pathfinder 21 Dec, 2022 @ 4:11am
I am also experiencing crashes on the loading screens because of this mod.
Professional Human 12 Dec, 2022 @ 1:15pm
Yeah, I did
That log file is with only starlight enabled

I'm gonna attempt a complete reinstall later.
Big Sneezy  [author] 11 Dec, 2022 @ 9:55pm
If you try a game with just this mod, it won't crash. It's likely happening because you have another mod that overwrites stars and causing a conflict.
Professional Human 11 Dec, 2022 @ 4:21pm
uh hi, my game is crashing on the loading screen.
I've narrowed it down to this mod

I've pasted my error.log file into pastebin

kwendish 4 Dec, 2022 @ 9:51pm
Allright, thanks for the fast reply!
Big Sneezy  [author] 4 Dec, 2022 @ 9:16pm
Yes
kwendish 4 Dec, 2022 @ 6:40pm
Is this also real space compatible like the original mod?
Big Sneezy  [author] 30 Nov, 2022 @ 4:41pm
That's pretty much correct. The thing you'd want to watch out for is if there's a conflict between this mod and the other mod. I hope other mods add their stars in separate files so there isn't an overwrite conflict, but if they don't, you'd need to merge the two.
xxx_420_Bad_Boy [Wizard_Cum] 30 Nov, 2022 @ 3:00pm
Ah, I'm not actually sure if any of the hypothetical star classes can be binary or trinary systems, in which case this mod would have no effect right?
Big Sneezy  [author] 30 Nov, 2022 @ 11:19am
It's pretty close to that. Stars from mods need to have lights defined as well if they'll ever appear in a multi-star system (the toxoids star does not, so I didn't bother).
xxx_420_Bad_Boy [Wizard_Cum] 30 Nov, 2022 @ 7:52am
Is it just as easy as adding a few names to the two asset files? I might look into making this work with hypothetical star classes as well...
Do'tasarr o Khajiit 28 Nov, 2022 @ 6:38pm
Just wish the gigastructural engineering's stars had any light
Tralalero Tralala 28 Nov, 2022 @ 1:27pm
nice <3
Big Sneezy  [author] 28 Nov, 2022 @ 7:20am
@Cheshire This should already be compatible with RS System Scale. I've used both together for a very long time.

@Naudiz Yes I'll change the version number, but I'm not expecting this to have any compatibility issues with 3.6.
Naudiz 28 Nov, 2022 @ 6:56am
Will you be updating this to work with patch 3.6 tomorrow?
Tralalero Tralala 28 Nov, 2022 @ 1:05am
This mod needs a compatibility with RS System Scale
paulo 26 Nov, 2022 @ 2:16am
Thanks.
Big Sneezy  [author] 25 Nov, 2022 @ 3:29pm
It's possible there's a way to fix it. Likely the issue is that the visualizer uses a different light source than stars, and this mod shuts that off.. just guessing. I can try to take a look at it.
paulo 25 Nov, 2022 @ 1:24pm
Your mod makes the ships in the Ship Visualizer look darker than they should. Is there any way to fix that?
Big Sneezy  [author] 24 Nov, 2022 @ 1:25pm
@Demiurge Yes, that's why Toxoids is listed as a required DLC. You can continue to use the original Starlight if you do not have Toxoids.

<spoilers>Toxoids adds a new star, and Starlight overwrites the stars but didn't include this new star, causing a crash when the system was created/visited.</spoilers>
Demiurge 24 Nov, 2022 @ 11:26am
wait, why isn't starlight compatible with toxoids? Also, is that incompatibility only if you bought toxoids dlc?
The Sun 23 Nov, 2022 @ 6:13pm
@dostillevi Thanks!
Big Sneezy  [author] 23 Nov, 2022 @ 12:52pm
@The Sun It is not. The original Starlight mod has built-in compatibility for Real Space, but that's it.
The Sun 23 Nov, 2022 @ 9:09am
Is this compatible with Hypothetical Stars?
Spider 22 Nov, 2022 @ 2:14am
Thank you so much for doing this.
