@Kezza Not insulted at all, I want to hear if something is broken and I had not noticed the issues you reported. I knew the first objective could be easily completed with launchers from the street but nades does the same if the door is opened I guess.

BUT a very annoying bug with the game/workshop is preventing me from updating my most recent maps. The devs are aware and will hopefully fix the bug sometime soon

Fantastic map and concept as always man, you truly are master of the craft! :)
A couple things I noticed though: the objective in the first panel can be destroyed with grenades, letting you cheese and skip this section, which I figure is why you placed the foreman in a limit area there, for deterrence! Would you consider replacing the invisible objective with a down-sized rocket objective instead, so this can't happen?
Also, the enemy at the window with the curtain break in the first panel seems to totally ignore getting shot, looking towards the doorway to their right constantly. This might be an AI limitation though; I've had a similar issue with enemies not looking directly at sound sources when they don't have initial line of sight to the sound, but at the nearest pathway to them instead, for some reason - in this case the doorway.
Of course, with your experience you have probably considered these already! Hopefully not insulting your intelligence..
Keep up the excellent work! :)

I love the design of interiors, especially the hotel room. But I'm certainly not a fan of the approach this map forces you to take. Tanking bullets with your troopers, relying on crits, memorising positions of enemies, throwing grenades at undiscovered areas...

Quite challenging having these all be one mission, without the possibility to save after each one, but nevertheless, this one was awesome.

@NCision6 I believe the balcony baddy furthest to the south can be somewhat blocked from view by the door that is blown open if that is what is happening. There is one dude in each window excluding the one running in at the start. Glad you enjoyed regardless :)

I love the creativity and inventiveness, not to mention the skill with the editor to do this. 10/10 for me for both releases.

During the 2nd phase of the mission, the safe house attack; I take out the guy on the balcony just off the kitchen and clear it. As soon as my troops turn their back to it, bad guy #2 leaps in gunning them down. I absolutely love the format and the story, but that section had me pulling my hair out.

Where? There is not a single enemy spawn on the map, they are all there from the start.
NCision6 4 Dec, 2022 @ 2:59pm
My troops keep getting shot in the back by enemies who spawn in behind them.

I loved it. It's a very hard and unforgiving map, especially the last level which I had to play more defensivly to even survive it. Hard to go dynamic without losing a squad here, but honestly the gunfights were super fun and felt more authentic, this plus the fact that's it's pretty much pause and play only. I like the fact that you can't single plan it, it makes it so the stakes are higher and demands full attention because if you fuck up that's a full restart and redraw, which not everybody will like given the difficulty of the map but totally worth it, I just love playing this way. I think it took me about 4-5 attempts to complete it and made me very careful of every step I took. I'm in love with this comic book concept, it just fits DK so so well. https://youtu.be/uezpjvb693s

nice. this isn't a map. it's a Mini campaign and I like it lol. I wish the devs would add a save/load option cause restarting big maps like these...ugh

Love this map, the final chapter with the Saudi operators was the most challenging for me due to lack of flashbangs.
Dirk Diggler  [author] 3 Dec, 2022 @ 11:37am
Yes, if you loose all your operators in panel 2 or 3 you have to manually restart. Otherwise I would have to delete friendlies in the completed panels, but then you could never three star the map as they would count as killed.. Just the way it is when trying to do stuff the game was not intended to do

When my team got wasted at the start of chapter 2, the mission didn't end because Max is alive and sitting in his hotel room in a different frame.

I like the concept, but it seems quite difficult to make it work.
