@Redarmy I couldn't get the turrets to use the bolts, but I got it so you could store bolts in them.
Npcs won't take the bolts out on their own but it could be helpful for preemptively stocking bolts so you can switch to them and put it in their inventory. Is this something you'd want?

No, it just adds bolts to the ammo requirements of turrets. I made a patch for this issue though.

How does this effect enemy turret emplacements? Will the gunners spawn with ammo now?

hopefully someone knows,it would be a cool feature to have to stock up turrets and remove the need to remember to carry bolts for non ranged characters

looking at the stuff RN, having issues attaching inventory drop down and copying it over to the turret, perhaps an advanced modder can come in and tell me how to do it.

great mod. Though i admit when i dl'd it i assumed you changed turrets to have an inventory and we had to stock it with bolts,i see now my character needs them on them,guess il use storage oxes next to the turrets

I was going to make it toothpicks but figured they're naturally small and easy to acquire so I went with regulars.

I did some googling to learn how to make a Kenshi mod and so my first mod is born because of you.
I uploaded a simple patch that is meant to be tossed below this mod or your other one.
It just makes the tier 1 crossbow turrets use toothpick bolts instead of regular
