the screeching is caused by mismatch length
bit rate is usually result in pitch shift

One screeching audio file could potentially also be a line for spotting a player, though I'm not certain. It's bound to be the lines with higher sample rates than the others regardless since Source can only certain sample rates, and rejects stuff like 48000hz.

Well it's hard to tell which lines are bugged since they are indecipherable static, but one of them is an idle line when stalking players.
There's also a crackly effect when she is defeated but that may be an intended electricity sound since she leaves clouds of green lightning behind, and doesn't sound like the other screeching sound.
I've done snd_rebuildaudiocache on multiple occasions and the screeching noise hasn't stopped so I know it's not on my end.

There is an issue with some of the sounds and voice lines where there's a screeching sort of static noise, likely caused by the sample rate being too high for the Source engine to handle. Otherwise, absolutely amazing mod.

I'm not sure what the limitations are, as I'm not a modder myself, but maybe you could just add it as part of the particles mod?
