Yes it works currently, I only update when necessary. The latest tested game version is always mentioned in the description of my mods.
I don't use nexus sorry if that's inconvenient for you.

My bad, when subscribing the mods are downloaded into a path like this :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\"game_number"\"mod_number"
When you find the right one (you can inspect its name in the xml file in its folder) you can copy it to the other folder I talked about earlier.
(the game number for Bannerlord is 261550)

@Khaled I don't keep copies of previous versions. But the current version should work for you, so you can subscribe to the mod, make a copy of the mod folder in the modules folder, then unsubscribe and place the folder back in modules. That way it will never update.
(usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules)

The version of my game is 1.2.8, and I want to stay on this version, and I am afraid that if I use Steam to install mods, the mod developers in Steam will update their mods, and thus these mods will not be identical to the version of my game, so I install the mods via nexus or github in order to avoid crashes

@gles Existing saves are not a problem. The only thing you need is harmony.
Did you check the mod box before starting the game ?

@Oxygen In my experience with this kind of simple mods, when it doesn't work it's because people don't understand what it's supposed to do. Else please provide a list of mods if you find a conflict.

I played with my mods for a while and this is definitely the cause, so it's almost certainly a mod confliction. Thanks for letting me know.

@DocHoliday This mod doesn't read files, and I've been using it yesterday without crashes. Of course there can always be unsuspected conflicts but it's more likely to come from another mod.

This must conflict with some mod after the 1.2.9 update as I now receive a File Read Error crash every time I try to load with this and my other mods.

It's working normally on latest version, no need to update

In my tests the current mod version has been working with both 1.1.5 and 1.2.7.
So I'm not planning on updating the mod version on steam, in fear of losing compatibility (it happened before).
If you're having issues with 1.2.7 please tell me.

Would you be willing to update it for the previous version? I realise it's counter intuitive, but most mods still work for the previous version. If not, understandable.

I've been testing it today and it seems to work, weird since it didn't in 1.1.6 and I didn't change anything.
I'll update the "compatible version" tag after more tests but feel free to try.

No, 1.1.6 changed nearly nothing but broke mods so I chose to stay on 1.1.5, so that people in a playthrough at that time could keep playing. I tried making a copy of my mod once in the past for 1.0.3 but I'm not willing to do that anymore. Basically now I'll update only on big updates.
