The characters do not entirely look like in the pictures on the latest update of the game. Seems broken. No other mods.

I haven't tried campaign yet, but in custom battle I only had one option.

It's amazing the character and unique voice these variants give not just the heroes, but their armies and factions as well. Thanks for the updates!

How difficult would it be to have the two kinds of elf heroes draw from the same portrait pool? I'd love to have some shooty guys and some melee-specialist ladies.

Despite being purely cosmetic these are my favourite mods. I didn't even know how much I was annoyed by looking at the same 2-3 portraits throughout a campaign. The Cultists of Slaanesh were probably the worst offenders.

Hi guys, wanted to share with you some info. This weekend my computer died, i still don't know what it is that died, if all goes well i'd be up and running before friday, to hopefully be ready for the Mod Jam starting on the 20th.

Yes, the plan was Nobles -----> Prince & Princess variants. I wanted to give you guys the Nobles variants before this next weekend, but seems i won't be able to. I'll try and get it working as soon as i can and resume work on this mods. I'm also gonna be doing some models for other mods, so lots of things coming, just hoping i can get my pc ready soon.

Are there plans to continue with the High Elves? Would absolutely love to see a Generic Prince & Princess as well as one for Nobles.

You save them using Intel Color + Alpha (Photoshop) BC7 8bpp Fine (Linear, DX11+) Fine Intel Compression, Auto Gen Mip maps.

It for example lowers the file size from 4.00 MB to 1.33 MB. I usually also make Material Maps and Normal maps 50% smaller, mask files can also be 25% the size to save more space, but that depends on the texture. Base Colour files are the most important to detail, but 2k-1k is fine for TWH3.

I looked at a lot of the textures and yeah, a lot of them could straight up just be deleted as they are similar, and almost all of them can be compressed.

@Blacn Rabbit Yes, still something on my to do list. I have to erase a lo of the textures dds files since in many cases i only use one specific thing of that texture. Will be doing a clean up across al my mods before the end of the month.

Regarding the variants, i'll be dling that with the archamges (as the base ones really are ugly) but in the case of handmaidens i find them pretty good tbh, just samey. Maybe i'll replace the one that uses the handmaiden that starts with allariele, so you don't start the campaign with a vanilla one.

One thing I notice is a lot of the textures can be downsized (same quality but much less space). I also wonder if you will be making a pack that edits the base variants are most of them are quite boring.

(It is because this leaves the defaults untouched, when most of them are very boring.) so you still start with the boring ones.

Now please do Glade Captains! <3 they all look way too similar! boring.

@Cobalt Warden in that case i'd recommend the game vermintide 2 to you, if you like warhammer you might like it. The hooded and masked elf is from that game

@Black Rabbit I'll mlst likely tackle the wood elves after high elves, currently it's a toss between them and dwarfs, but i might do both races. So you can expect spelsingers at some point

Thank you, a thousand times, thanks you! Once again you have made my favorite race just that much better by adding that much needed spice and variety. I know it's just visual but my god, it is so much better and easier to keep track of heroes/armies without the clones. All of my armies feel so unique now and i can't thank you enough for all these amazing HE variant mods. Also what Gleen Cross said: will you be making this an "all in one" after finishing the other lords? idc either way, just happy to have em, but couldn't help but wonder. Thanks again and keep up the incredible work!

Hope eventually you add a "all in one" for the High Elves similarly to what Spooky did with his dark elf variants

@Irongut Hey, i'll try and and do nobles next, probably not so over the top like the mages but with plenty of addons and new gear. Working on a custom wolf model for the high elves now, will probably post it in between Variant releases
