as someone who has used dual tube nvg, and understands how the human brain works with the human eyes, this should not be 2 circles.
The eye combines the 2 images and makes it one single 40 degree circle, the same with monocular devices.
there is no extra fov, the only thing that dtnvg (dual tube nvg) gives you is better quality of life and improved depth perception.
the only type of nvg device that improves fov are panoramic devices (rpnvg, gpnvg, qtnvg, etc), and in the case of gpnvg and qtnvg, it's 3 circles. in the case of rpnvg, it's 2, similar to as seen in this mod, except rpnvg isn't used by any active combat force, and is currently, to my knowledge, only used by civ, militia, or private security.

look through binoculars, are there 2 circles or only 1? now imagine it doesn't zoom in, and it lets you see in the dark. 1 circle.
