is there a version of this mod that requires only the 'basic genes' version of the Big and Small mod? I don't really want to add all the extras of the full Big and Small, but I do like this mod.

you can edit it out of the database yourself. navigate to where your rimpy database is (mine is D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1847679158\db), ctrl+f to find my mod, and delete this line.

so i just checked the rimpy database and it seems like someone decided to add MGC as a requirement. not sure if there's anything i can do about that.

Rimpy throws an error when I try to use this mod without MGC, meaning that either there's a requirement somewhere I can't find or Rimpy uses very outdated information

its not a hardcoded requirement. infact its not even in the about.xml as a required mod. where are you seeing that its hardcoded?

Is there a way to remove the hardcoded requirement for more gene complexity?
Or at least placing it in the about.xml file instead of hardcoding it?

I already accomplish what it does through rimmsqol so I don't need that mod

i managed to get them to spawn with that alpha genes faction so that's something, the bad thing is that there are a lots of them, a lot of unions lmao, nice mod :luv:

No plans to make a xenotype or faction at this time. I barely play rimworld anymore

i guess we can make them spawn making a custom xenotype and get them spawned via alpha genes xenos faction

Yes. They are very expensive. I intend to rebalance this eventually so its more easily plausible to get mid-game.

@SamDota I'll look into it. You could go into B&S mod settings and turn down the nutrition multiplier. I plan on rebalancing these genes soon anyways.

Is there a way of stopping the lag storm when you open the needs page of the pawn that has union? (The food bar is massive and is causing lag)

@warmainiac What do you mean by a square? The textures get cut off, or its just a solid square? If its the former, you need to disable texture caching in vanilla expanded framework's mod settings.

ok so i have confirmed a gene from the base mod is having the affect that im having issues with

so im not sure if its something with my modlist or something, but for some unknown reason (my long wont even load an error ingame as far as im aware at the typing of this message) and im also unsure if this is somekind of update bug, but any colonist that has a gene from this mod has their image loaded up as a litteral square and i have tested this with a pawnkind of the ogre race as well as my own custom xenotype, the ogre showed up fine but the custom xenotype with one of the genes from this mod showed up as a square. (i also used a baseliner pawn and just put the galaticus gene into it and it instantly turned into a square)

I'd recommend using More Gene Complexity and increasing the complexity cap with that.

If you don't use More Gene Complexity (which is a prerequisite for that one), Rimmsqol can be used to edit the allowed complexity per building

@Mechanoid Enjoyer Unfortunately the sprites are so big the game doesn't know what to do with it. I'm not sure what I can do to fix that on my end.

I'm having trouble with the mod, whenever I use one of the genes the pawn only renders in a small square around itself except when I zoom in super far. Anyone know what might be causing this?
