Would love to see an option in settings to change the value, I'm sure 50% is fine but I find sometimes I only want 10-30%

@LupoLight very odd, let me know if it happens again :)
LupoLight 25 Jul, 2023 @ 9:14pm
Honestly it worked after the other person reloaded??? So I have no idea.

@LupoLight I'm not able to replicate this unfortunately, do you have other mods installed? :)
LupoLight 16 Jul, 2023 @ 4:04pm
Currently didn't work in multiplayer? Not quite sure why- both players had it, and it worked on a solo run.

@Tokemonkey From personal experience it provides a boost to the game but the 50% value balances the items and it's not possible to make excessive money. It does make the early game slightly less tight for money, which sometimes can reduce the frustration.

@✧˖°BOT Kennedi°˖✧ No, only the host, it can improve experience if everyone has it.

This seems like it would unbalance the game pretty hard unless you are working with like 3 entrees

Does everyone need this mod? Or just the host?
InfamousMyles  [author] 5 Apr, 2023 @ 12:15pm
I've updated the mod to 1.1.0, this implements a new system to track prices of items (it saves data in your world in a way that doesn't require the mod if you want to uninstall it).

The sell price is now based on 50% of the lowest buy price, so if you buy a discounted appliance it will now be half of that, which limits money farming from desks.

Let me know your thoughts, I do hope to one day add more depth to the pricing but initially just getting this one out as it's quite a bit more complicated :)

The problem with this mod is that, especially late game (when you start getting a few blueprint cabinets and desk, a discount desk and a copy desk), you don't need a lot of money. Eventually items cost next to zero. This mod is really only helpful in the first half (like days 1-7) when you probably don't have a copy/discount desk and you probably haven't been lucky enough to find another blueprint cabinet either.

I would also argue that most runs aren't won/lost because you didn't have enough money. They're won/lost based on the RNG of the cards you were given to choose from.

I don't know why than when I put a trash item outside, the price appear above but when I finish the next day on the "Earnings window" Trash to Cash not appear like your first picture... I have already install all mods and all is okey. Let me know if I need any thing to add.

Maybe price the items depending on how late you are in the game, 75% for Days 1-15, 50% for OT1-3, etc. Some kind of diminishing returns thing would be nice. :) It usually takes a few days to fully discount items down anyway, so this should help balance! Otherwise, great mod!

Perhaps, add a config option to disable selling discounted items all together. People that wish to money farm can continue doing so, and people that wish to play much more "fairly" is able to disable the feature :D

I honestly think that just selling all appliances for $10, UNLESS they were free is as far as you'd need to go. You could just set a flag for a specific appliance whenever it's purchased for $0, and the next time you sell the same appliance, it sells for $0. Then just make all appliances on day 1 set that flag.

You could also make it count up, if you really wanted to, so that you could more or less keep track of every starting/discounted-to-0 appliance.

I'm actively looking into methods to improve the mod in regards to money farming however, the core premise of the mod was the idea that you could install/uninstall whenever and to prevent money farming it would have to track how much you bought items for. I'm open to all opinions :)
Melancholy Hill Giant 17 Feb, 2023 @ 6:56am
Needs some options/changes to make money farming not a thing. Using the Midrun Cosmetics Stations mod for example lets you start with $30 on day 2. Not a big deal. But selling back items for hundreds of times (or undefined if you discounted to 0)? That's pretty game-breaking.
Chasey 7 Feb, 2023 @ 11:36pm
I had to uninstall the mod because it gave me back 625 gold for a teleporter when I discounted it down to 2 gold, feels wrong to have it. Otherwise, it's a great mod!

Thank you for this. Always bothered me to throw away something worth like 120 when i replace it for something better or smarter for automation and get nothing for it
