You need to empty the generic hero pool first. You can do this by simply recruiting then disbanding all the initial heroes.

I've been asked about that before. It's certainly something I can look into doing.
You appear to be right, hmm. I'll work on fixing it, but for now you can spawn him in via the console commands mod. Just type in: agent champion traj_brute
He is added to the exalted hero recruit pool at the start of a campaign.
My mods are not made with multiplayer in mind, as I have no clue how to make it compatible.
Might be an issue with the skills. I copied the bloodreaper skill tree which has mobility, but the game treats them as exalted heroes which have training. Not sure why that is, I'll see if I can play around with it.

Tested it and he can embed in armies just fine. He doesn't spawn in with movement, so you need to wait a turn before he can embed.
