Strong opinions but how can you justify this? There are several battle styles preferred and this excels for 2 of them.

great work but you killed Missile Units and the combat take too much time

Did you test this with Vanilla? I haven't done anything with battle AI and don't believe I have the expertise with that. In my experience, siege battles are very difficult when the defenders are well-garrisoned. If you have a way to trick the AI, just don't use it. We've seen the sneak up with a 2nd army trick in TW games as far back as I remember.

You start the battle and see that all the enemy armies are placed exclusively at the gate, opposite which you placed the ram and the general. We do not touch the general, first infantry unit and the ram/siege tower until the end of the battle - they won`t be needed. You lead second infantry unit straight to the gate in front of which you placed it and simply destroy them. Having broken through them, you capture the point so that the towers don`t shoot in the back, then you go to the victorious point and occupy it. The AI will not react to this at all.

It would seem that the Thrones of Britain were made on the same platform as Attila, but in Attila the AI behaved adequately, leading troops to recapture the point.

Greetings. I wanted to ask, is it possible to fix the AI bug during the siege - a problem that the developers didn`t solve from the beginning? The fact is that during a siege, AI troops defending in the city do not respond adequately to the player’s actions from different directions.

You can test it in a standard battle (siege mode). You take an army of two units - a general, two infantry troops and a ram/siege tower. You can field one full army against yourself with any composition - it doesn’t matter. Before the start of the battle, you place a general and an infantry unit with a ram opposite the gate that you are supposed to storm, and a second infantry unit - opposite any other gate (it is advisable that the unit is hidden in the forest).

Can you restate that? Load this mod above any other mods when you launch tob. This mod does not work with Shiedwall.

He has some unique units. I'm trying to see if I can get permission to add them into the mod. That overhaul looks well done.

Well i tried it with your other similar mod of your's i had a battle and i could see and used the formations using "The Great Heathen - The Last Kingdom Mod" and this yours (Advanced Formations, Abilities and Siege for play with nearly any mod) and all good no problem at all so i think its working great at least with this mod i might try it with the Conquest 1066 mod later and thanks anyway for this great mod!!:steamhappy:

It should but you never know until someone tests it. The primary problem with combining mods is land units or a startpos. This mod has neither. Do you mind trying?

Good stuff there looking very promising! So does this works with Great heathen - The last Kingdom overhaul campaign and Conquest 1066 mods??
