That's understandable, given 'automated' is kinda the whole theme.
Been loving this fleet so far btw, been using them pretty much exclusively in my current campaign run.

Fixed, but it still isn't compatible with manual steering though.

Seems to be broken for me, the spin block that controls which way the propeller at the back faces is stuck pointing to the right, neither manually controlling the ship or setting it to AI control seems to have an effect

It has 2 modes, frontside and back away when below 2000m and broadside when above 2000m.
