Love the mod, but I don't like the salt requirement gameplay-wise since it has so many other uses it feels wasted on fish (at least in my mod-heavy game).
To disable it open DryFish_Recipes.txt in Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2949916678\mods\DryFishMod\media\scripts and
remove long word in brackets with "salt" in its name and the comma after. Can't remember exactly what it was, but after editing the top part of the file looks like this:
--------------------
module DFM
{
imports { Base }
recipe Prepare Dry Fish {
keep [Recipe.GetItemTypes.SharpKnife]/MeatCleaver,
[DryFishMod.GetItemTypes_processFish];2,
Result:PreppedFish,
Sound:SliceMeat,
Time:250.0,
Category:Cooking,
OnCreate:DryFishMod.OnCreate_DryFishModProcessFish,
OnGiveXP:Recipe.OnGiveXP.Cooking3,
}
--------------------
I think the problem was adding fish halfway through the process. thank you
1) does it conflict with Rugged Recipes?
2) how long does the fish last?
tl;dr 0.5 = Faster drying, or slower drying?
Instead of waiting for respond its best to read descriptions carefully
Im tempted to just give you the answer but i also want to encourage you to read so that you dont miss any other info
Thank u for your patience and time
so yes?
The time it takes to dry a prepared fish is set in the sandbox options. Did you do step 1 of the guide?
Sams: "does dried fish need salt "
No, dry fish is already dry it will not need any additional salt.
Successfully added To my existing MP server no issues. Currently sitting in a shack in Louisville curing fish for the winter. Thank you!
Will things break: possibly, modpacks require hand holding.
Will fish dry: mod fish might be able to place in container but the recipe for process to not take them.
