Good news, this mod definitely works in that it adds canned cheese to the world. Post-power-outage pizza is possible! Only complaint is that it's OBSCENELY rare. I cleared the entire western half of Muldraugh and found precisely one can. For comparison, I found two generator magazines in that same area.

Been using this mod for a long time now. As a fan or MREs and their associated trinkets, I thank you for this item. Overall, thank you for all the absolutely awesome mods you've made!

Fair enough, I finally found my first can after clearing about 1/4 of Muldraugh's residental area, so the mod is working for sure. Maybe I'll mess around with some of my food spawn settings next time I start a run. Regardless, it's great to have cheese for those moments when you wanna be a post apocalyptic gourmet. Thanks!

@Macgregor R. As far as i know it shouldn't conflict with either of those mods, i myself have both of them and around 3-4 other large food mods and don't seem to have any issues. however i do remember when the mod was still being made i specified that i wanted it to be pretty rare, about the same rarity as canned bread from sapphs cooking, and after the mod was released i spent some time screwing around in admin i found about 2-3 cans after searching around 12 houses

I hate to be that guy, but I'm having trouble finding any canned cheese. I do play with a lot of mods (Sapph's Cooking included!) but I can't imagine why something would conflict with this (other than maybe W. Patrick's Canned Meat?). Installed on a fresh game so it should be able to spawn anywhere since I hadn't explored anywhere yet. Is it supposed to be fairly rare?

in the past one of my priorities for a zomboid run has been cooking humanity's final pizza, with the last of the unspoiled cheese when the power goes out. thank you for making my game slightly less bleak. now i kinda want to try actual irl canned cheese too...
404_coffee.exe 7 Apr, 2023 @ 5:58am
do people actually can cheese?
CrispyChestnuts 6 Apr, 2023 @ 11:38pm
its cheeeeeesssseeee, cheese in a can!

@WilliamP98 evidently the Australians. There's an actual company in Australia called Bega that makes canned cheese of all things

@Ddraigtanto Di Avalaria That was actually the main reason i commissioned this mod. after the power goes off you pretty much lose access to all perishable supply's, and even a few of the base game recipes like pizza, which of course i could not stand for . and to celebrate the release of the mod i actually opened/ate a can of it to see if it would be a worthwhile apocalypse supply, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually really good! it has a basic but agreeable flavor and a sort of a babybell consistency
Ddraigtanto Di Avalaria 4 Apr, 2023 @ 5:03am
I mean I like this idea, not just because I like cheese, but... Well I'm kinda new to PZ, and I've not tried trapping yet, but I know cheese needs to be used for some mouse trap trapping, and since it's a perishable good, it'd be a finite resource you'd eventually run out of, so this gives that purpose a bit more longevity. It's cool!

...Although, I can't imagine canned cheese tasting very good, kinda sweaty and rubbery. I love the apocalypse! TTuTT

Who would of thought of canned cheese?
Nain 3 Apr, 2023 @ 8:58am
3d model included excellent
Daevinski 2 Apr, 2023 @ 6:24am
This one will eventually be included into the main cooking mod or will remain standalone because it was commissioned?
