On a related note, I have never seen the 2-block stair actually be two blocks tall... It's always been identical to the shorter one. D:
3) When using the 1x1 stairs-block I have problem to walk from the stairs to upper floor when the floor is made from armor blocks, or when trying to enter the stairs leading downwards from upper floor. My character very often stops at the top of the stairs and is hitting some obstacle (like there'd be a difference in the bounding box heights). I have to jump over the border of stairs|armor_block to get over it (http://imageshack.com/a/img923/6670/9Edgog.jpg) .
When the upper floor is made rom catwalks, it works fine though. The 2x1 stairs block works fine even with the armor blocks. Only the 1x1 stairs-block is having this issue. It's also possible the problem is not in stairs, but in the SE armor blocks, but that's hard to tell for me. Oh, and its more significant when walking (CAPS-LOCK turned ON), than running.
I was a bit confused at the beginning why there are two stairs blocks, but in the end I can imagine good use for both of them.
I've noticed just 3 minor flaws:
1) You can't crouch under the stairs even when there's enough space (screenshot here: http://imageshack.com/a/img922/7774/AzvDib.jpg);
2) The blocks are missing their blueprint in Assembler (that would make easier production of required components in necessary amount at the beginning of the game when you don't have large stocks of materials and components yet);

i <3 the armor block textures! where can i find it??? plzzz :D
1. Only the double railing and the no railing/no railing inverted tiles work properly when using symetry. The rest of them are just placed in the same configuration as the one you place.
2. Oxygen does not flow through these blocks, allowing for interstingly open-yet-sealed construction and areas of no pressure when there should be pressure.
3. Running up/down the stairs sometimes causes the player to fly off the stairs randomly, as if he/she had struck some object.
