@Lightning don't know what to tell you if you where to read my update notes you would see that I added the code so the blocks are under 1 tab now and the stable branch has now added this feature into the game.

@FatMax1492 yes it should work fine it just now has the code in it so the blocks are under 1 tab in the dev branch

@Dakoth The mounting points is what dictates how the air flows in the game. So that being said it may look like air should flow from underneath the stairs, but it wont cause it has to have mounting points there to connect to the other blocks. Now as for the 2 block tall stair it just means it has mounting points for 2 blocks insted of just 1 block making it easier to use in some configurations.

When you say the stair block works with the oxygen system, what exactly is it supposed to be doing? I have an air vent underneath the 1-block stair, the idea being that the oxygen should be able to flow through the block. This appears to not be the case, however...
On a related note, I have never seen the 2-block stair actually be two blocks tall... It's always been identical to the shorter one. D:

3) When using the 1x1 stairs-block I have problem to walk from the stairs to upper floor when the floor is made from armor blocks, or when trying to enter the stairs leading downwards from upper floor. My character very often stops at the top of the stairs and is hitting some obstacle (like there'd be a difference in the bounding box heights). I have to jump over the border of stairs|armor_block to get over it (http://imageshack.com/a/img923/6670/9Edgog.jpg) .
When the upper floor is made rom catwalks, it works fine though. The 2x1 stairs block works fine even with the armor blocks. Only the 1x1 stairs-block is having this issue. It's also possible the problem is not in stairs, but in the SE armor blocks, but that's hard to tell for me. Oh, and its more significant when walking (CAPS-LOCK turned ON), than running.

I was a bit confused at the beginning why there are two stairs blocks, but in the end I can imagine good use for both of them.

I've noticed just 3 minor flaws:

1) You can't crouch under the stairs even when there's enough space (screenshot here: http://imageshack.com/a/img922/7774/AzvDib.jpg);

2) The blocks are missing their blueprint in Assembler (that would make easier production of required components in necessary amount at the beginning of the game when you don't have large stocks of materials and components yet);

@=)HHG(=Telamont Could you do a 1x1x1 stair that was only half a block wide, but aligned to one side (NOT centered in the block). This would allow more compact stairwells, at the cost of capacity (engineers per hour). If it could also be done with both a single and double railing variant, that would be a bonus.

With a stroke of luck I finally figured out what controls the oxygen system. It's the damn mounting points, if I could have found that information months ago, it would have saved me so many headaches. Anyways I got all the mounting points fine tuned so the oxygen will work with all the blocks in this pack without any isues now.

@Dark Thanks for trying to help out I did try your suggestion, but TypeID stairs does not exist in the game code so that did not work but I did get the oxygen issue figured out.

@Telamont Idk if you fixed your stairs, but i was talking with a friend about my own modded blocks. and stairs. should be tagged as Stairs. they should then work. tho passage blocks are ok for most things. there should be a means to tag and get it to work. I am by far a expert but this is just me passing info i have got...

Has anyone had a problem with the mod not loading? I see it in my ever growing list of mods but I don't see the blocks once my world loads. I know some mods need to load before or after others. I've moved it to the top of the list I'm going to try removing it and put it back. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

@malhavoc It happens when you have them fully encased. I really don't know the cause of it, they are tagged as a passage I've tried everything to fix it with no luck. For some reason I can't get the type id passage to work on any of my mods of that type. I sent a e-mail to adam with KSH who has helped me in the past with a mod, but he did not respond this time so IDK what to do.

Just an FYI, still getting no air on the 1x1x1 stairs. Usually it presents when using multiple stairs together or with landings between, such as the flat catwalk or double railing.

@Cronyx The block are considered full blocks and not air blocks, I have sadly removed all of the blocks in my builds till this is fixed

It seems like many of these catwalks, when I stand on them, I start to suffocate (no oxygen.) Am I doing something wrong?

I figured out how to still use these, to all that use them in your worlds, just place the stairs but DONT build it. It will look and funtction the the same but wont cause damage to you while stand on them.

Since the new update 1.076 you take damage while standing on the "stairs" section of the cat walks, Just thought i would mention it

This mod has a number of bugs and/or things that need to be updated:
1. Only the double railing and the no railing/no railing inverted tiles work properly when using symetry. The rest of them are just placed in the same configuration as the one you place.
2. Oxygen does not flow through these blocks, allowing for interstingly open-yet-sealed construction and areas of no pressure when there should be pressure.
3. Running up/down the stairs sometimes causes the player to fly off the stairs randomly, as if he/she had struck some object.

@ Trevis that is why there is 2 corner section blocks. There is the 2x1x1 and the 1x1x1 corner section. The 2x1x1 was the first one I made and I realized the problem with it so then I made the one 1x1x1 corner section.

the corner catwalk block's placement seems a bit awkward when placing with it rotated as wide instead of long it places the railing block rather than the opening (which is where you need it to place when connecting to another catwalk)... its not that it cant be worked around, just a bit awkward
