Is his summon reinforcements (not spectral army, but his ability to summon advent) supposed to cost 0 AP?
I frost bombed him, he thawed the following round, losing 1 AP. But then he was able to summon reinforcements, teleport, and shoot, all with 1 AP.

its there a way that when he's in the spectral immunity effect, to have a shield effect around him? something like the shieldbearers

I have enjoyed the XCOM modding community because of how configurable the mods are and how all the authors work together to make a great game even better. Thanks for this, it makes the warlock more of a warlock than a clown

if it is nothing for you, just don't use it. I tried it and like it a lot. A few things can be changed in configs if it is too tough for you

@Baked Valkyrie That is not an unfair assessment. The other side of the coin is that the Warlock can be considered a joke and the easiest of the three Chosen.

An average engagement with the Warlock would see him spawn Spectral Zombies, get Alpha Struck down to half health and then he stasis bubbles himself allowing XCOM to swarm him, pop his dudes and then finish him off without much fanfare or issues.

The goal of this was to bring some fear back for engaging the Warlock and to make his signature move meaningful. Yes, it is a buff. Yes, it is tuned, but the tuning all happens in config and you are always welcome to tweak those configs to what makes sense for you and your campaign.

I haven't installed, but I agree that this sounds very overtuned. Where this mod's "spiritual sibling" feels like a rebalance - nerfing the hunter's pure lethality to increase his ability to disrupt, this is a straight buff, and it feels big enough to be unfair.
Complete invulnerability while he's free to continue dazing, mind-controlling, and attacking, especially when the invulnerability and fresh troops is a free action. In the early game, you could engage him alone, and he could turn it into a 5 on 3 in his favor with one action point.
I think most people will agree spectral army is more of a speed bump than an obstacle, but this overcorrects (imo) and commits the cardinal sin (imo) of xcom 2 difficulty increases, which is bumping up the difficulty more in the early game than the late.
I see some comments that seem to like it, but I feel that if this mod isn't creating some very unfair and unfun scenarios, it's because someone's playing on an easier difficulty than they have to.

really feels like he should only be getting two of the three (No hp requirement, free cost, impenetrable shield)
Or like if the shield only reduced all incoming damage by 50-75% instead of absolute negation. I love the ideas but it's too much all at once at tier 1. Basically a guaranteed squad wipe getting him on the first retaliation on legendary. Absolutely zero ways to counter him at all.

Are you using Reshi’s Mutator mod? There’s a sitrep “Immortal Chosen” I think that causes this. They won’t die on a mission.

thanks for the info. looks like I have a special warlock. After killing him he comes 3 times back. must be a mod problem on my side.

@Skarsatai 2.0 The changes I made should not change when in combat the Warlock spawns, but I did make his AI a little less "just sit in the corner spawning explode zombies while I wait for XCOM to clear the map" so it is possible for him to engage earlier than you would normally expect

is it possible that with this mod the appearance is more often? especially right after xcom arrived on the map not moved and is concealed, the witcher comes out of nowhere ? or just bad luck ?
