Glad to hear that you're enjoying it Legend Slayer! :tgrin:

An update will be out soon to ensure compatibility with the Ways of War DLC / Tiger Patch!
Legend Slayer 31 Aug, 2024 @ 12:00pm
This is such a nice mod for combat. Makes manual combats vastly more tactical and less random. Also, it still works with the Elritch Realms! +1

In the Golem update patch notes, there was this: "The AI will now also make use of the boost Free City negotiations option on Hard and Hardest difficulty". So it's likely that the AI actually does use Imperium to speed up negotiations and vassalage on harder difficulties now!
Holy Fool Sehrael 15 Nov, 2023 @ 1:31am
Sounds good though. Making it take a bit longer would give other players more time to catch up on the race, even though I don't know if the AI even uses influence to speed up vassalization^^
Komogi  [author] 14 Nov, 2023 @ 9:33pm
After searching around a bit, it seems possible to increase the thresholds at which free cities reach the different states of negotiation and vassalage! While this isn't exactly the slowing down of Allegiance gain from Whispering Stones, it should still result in slower vassal acquisition overall.

I unfortunately haven't had much of a chance to experiment with vassals this update yet, so I can't really say whether the current speed of vassal acquisition is balanced or not.
Holy Fool Sehrael 14 Nov, 2023 @ 1:30pm
While we're at it, would it be possible to slow down free city... obedience? gain by let's say 25-40%? I think that'd make it more difficult to just rush vassal production and incentivizes the use of influence for that kind of stuff more :D If you get the idea ^^ What do you think?
Holy Fool Sehrael 14 Nov, 2023 @ 1:23pm
Aye, great ^^ I think as a sideeffect this will also make certain low-life units more viable ^^

I can confirm that this mod works with the Empires & Ashes DLC / Golem update! Thanks for checking out my resistances mod, I hope you enjoy playing with the two together :tgrin:

(Also it's a bit weird that the gallery images here disappeared for some reason, I'll add them back! Wouldn't have noticed if you didn't comment, so I appreciate it :P )
Holy Fool Sehrael 14 Nov, 2023 @ 10:57am
Does this need an update? ^^ I'd like to try your resistances mod, but without this one I'm afraid of a lot of oneshots happening :P
Dunadd 25 Sep, 2023 @ 1:56pm
Great! Thanks!
Komogi  [author] 25 Sep, 2023 @ 9:29am
No problem at all! Just tested and can confirm that Life / Preserver Culture and Outlaw Culture mods are both compatible!
Dunadd 25 Sep, 2023 @ 9:02am
Thanks for the reply. Life or Preserver faction mod was the one I was thinking of. Plus the Outlaw faction mod.
Unfortunately my laptop died so can't check myself till the new one I ordered arrives
Guess I'll find out then
Komogi  [author] 25 Sep, 2023 @ 8:55am
It should, as long as the modded units use the same bonus stats from Upgrades_Core_UnitProperties.rpk! Is there a particular mod that you'd like to be tested for compatibility?
Dunadd 25 Sep, 2023 @ 8:45am
Thanks for making this. Will it add hitpoints to units added by mods other than the ones you mention above?

Just a simple correction in the patch notes:

- Heroes' base Hit Points reduced from 180 to 130, not 140.

Version 1.1 Update

A small patch that reduces the number of Hit Points increased, due to slower damage potential gain from slower research speed in the Watcher Patch.

Changes:

- Scouts' bonus Hit Points reduced from 80 to 65.
- Other Units' bonus Hit Points reduced from 90 to 75, 110 to 95, and 130 to 115.
- Heroes' base Hit Points reduced from 180 to 140.

I'm not sure about healing / regeneration items, as this mod does not touch any sort of healing, but I could see Paladin's Winged Helmet and Amulet of Vitality getting increased Hit Points too!
peequi 3 Jun, 2023 @ 8:24pm
I think a potential sub mod would be to increase the Hero trait vigor (plus 10 HP), Hero of the Meek (tier 1 units have plus 10 HP), Chestplate of vitality, ring of regeneration. What other items do you guys think could be included?
Komogi  [author] 2 Jun, 2023 @ 11:13pm
Agreed! I've always enjoyed being able to craft my own experience for modded games, so I always appreciate it when mods aim to be simple and compatible, if possible.
Videogamer40000 2 Jun, 2023 @ 11:04pm
More options are always nice, even if I myself might not end up using them. They're optional, so there isn't any harm in a modder giving people the option.
Komogi  [author] 2 Jun, 2023 @ 10:58pm
In theory, this mod makes outposts much more important when fighting outside your main domain, since it acts as an extension of your domain, where your units can recover their Hit Points quicker. As for traits / spells that affect unit health, they are definitely less impactful, which would in return make armies and army compositions much more important. But I am curious about the balance of that as well.

But yeah, there's a reason that this mod is lightweight and standalone! Can always add it if one likes the changes, and remove it if not. Glad to hear that you appreciate having the option :)
Videogamer40000 2 Jun, 2023 @ 10:17pm
The extra health for slower battles is quite nice. Although I am curious how much the balance would change things out of combat, units out of combat needing to heal for more turns before they are at max health again, certain form traits/transformations that provide hit points might not be as valuable. Army damage spells have to burn through a larger number of hit points, etc. Regardless, it's nice to have the option. Thank you.
Komogi  [author] 2 Jun, 2023 @ 9:15pm
Cheers! :D Would love to hear what you think afterwards!
LordShotGun 2 Jun, 2023 @ 9:00pm
Awesome! Looking forward to trying it out!
Komogi  [author] 2 Jun, 2023 @ 8:23pm
Glad to hear that you're enjoying the mod! I feel the same way about there being so much damage that units ended up dying very quickly. Now the battles actually feel like armies fighting against one another, instead of quick skirmishes.

I'll take your feedback about the amount of extra Hit Points to mind! Hopefully some others can give feedback regarding that as well.

I've just checked compatibility for Expanded Cultural Units, Age of Tomes, Immersive Cultural Units, and Outlaw Culture - beta, and can confirm that the units they added are all compatible! As long as another mod uses the same bonus stats from Upgrades_Core_UnitProperties.rpk for their units, they should all get the extra Hit Points from this mod!
Mareb 2 Jun, 2023 @ 6:15pm
I actually enjoy slower battles, makes strategy a bit more important. I think units need more life becouse you can get so much damage ingame, but i think half those numbres will be more balanced. Having compatibility with the 2 other popular mods that add more units for each faction would be even better. Good job.
