Also I'd like to thank you for pointing out that Maniac's crit buff gives him bleed chance instead of the more logical blight chance. It went under my radar!
- New affliction: Toxic
- String files (barks, monologue, descriptions)
- Fixed Maniac's crit buff (Now increases blight chance instead of bleed chance)
- Added incompatibility with the following classes: Maniac, Flagellant
Enjoy the mod!
I hope you enjoyed the mod!
>based on wanderer path, not maniac
Nice mod, but Maniac doesn't look withered enough, it needs couple small changes imo.
-50% blight resist +50% blight amount received
When the hero is hit - blight to the enemy 3 damage for 3 turns (140%) chance
a good analogue of riposte will turn out
debuffs can be made even higher
Upgrade your stage coach if you haven't and pray to RNGesus to increase your chances of success. I'll add an immediate town event and a couple of other events to recruit him later on but now I'm working on his custom affliction and string files.
I hereby grant you a blessing of RNG. May fortune favor you!
That can be accomplished without a riposte I think. I'll see what I can do with Adots (actor dots) to replicate the Pain ability that the DD2 flagellant has. Perhaps I'll find some other alternative
Thank you for clarifying your suggestion!
But nonetheless, your suggestion is still valid. I could make a separate mod which is entirely optional and doesn't affect the main mod.
Thank you for the idea and I hope you enjoyed the mod!
My design-philosophy is a little bit different. The riposte mechanic is great! It grants you lots of tempo in combat by being able to do something outside of your turn. There's nothing wrong with the mechanic itself but it's just the fact that it's overused in a lot of other class mods. And I see it as a cheap way to make a class more desirable in terms of its capabilities.
the Blighted flagellant is DD2 canon
What do you think of the class trinkets included with this mod? Have they appeared as rewards or random drops during your playthrough?
It is much easier for him than the usual flaggelant to get to his most powerful Sepsis ability, which is activated at a low amount of hp, since 3 of his attacks reduce his health quite well. 4 usage limits is more than enough to win any fight except boss battles, so in addition to the 4 usage limit, I would also give a cooldown of at least 2 turns, since he has another ability that can heal him. Otherwise, I see an excellent frontline blighter who will team up very well with other blighters. I need to play more with him and fight with bosses in order to fully form an opinion about him.
What do you think of the combat abilities? Are they needlessly complex or do they hit just the right spot?
- New art assets: Roster icon, Guild header, Skill fx
- 5 new trinkets
- Class renamed to Maniac (formerly Blighted Flagellant)
- Updated localization files
- Workshop mod page tweaks
Enjoy the mod!
