That's really unfortunate, I can give you a suggestion, you can install L4D2 Authoring Tools on your own, and upload it on your own workshop. That way you don't need the file to be saved on the rented PC.

The thing is, even if I use that link, I can't save it to a PC. I don't have my own PC; I sometimes rent one if I ever want to play. That's why I prefer the workshop mods, so I'll add them to my favourites or collection and use them.
