Tritanium Conversion

With SE2 coming and us not knowing if Star Trek will make it in, some of us have ships we've built out of Trit. Is there any chance we could convince you to add a few lines of code to reverse the process so we can try to take our bps with us? Awesome mod!

@Whitefire, sorry no. Has to be single player creative.
Whitefire 12 Apr @ 6:04am
can i use this as admin in a dedicated server if i include it in mods to help other convert over?
Jasper  [author] 3 Feb @ 2:27pm
Very hard. Different sized blocks. Different connection points.
Tgot 3 Feb @ 1:06pm
Would it be difficult to implement?
Tgot 3 Feb @ 1:05pm
Darn
Jasper  [author] 30 Jan @ 8:02pm
No. Only armor blocks
Tgot 30 Jan @ 7:57pm
Does this mod convert non armor blocks into their Tritanium equivalent?
trxy 19 Dec, 2024 @ 5:51pm
please add a way to change the armor from tritanium to light armor/heavy armor man
Jasper  [author] 28 Jun, 2024 @ 1:44pm
Take a blueprint before converting.
T1meL0stArch1tect 28 Jun, 2024 @ 10:54am
Would it be possible to have an option which reverses the conversion so we can
easily "re-vanillafy" our ships
Proximus Cosmos 23 Mar, 2024 @ 11:08am
Gotcha. Thanks for the response.
Jasper  [author] 23 Mar, 2024 @ 11:01am
When I was testing possibly allowing it to be used on servers, I inadvertantly left in some debug statements and disabled some diagnostic messages. These have been corrected.

To make sure there is no confusion:

This will only work on single-player, creative games

Creative is required to avoid 'cheating' as it gives you upgraded blocks for zero cost in materials.

Single-player is required because of the cheating issue above, and because the mod doesn't have any network synchronization code.

Hey, ever since the update unlocking the conversion to servers, every time I try to convert something it makes the game laggy, even if the conversion shoulda been completed.

Also, why does the blocks changed show up in the chat now?
Dante 15 Mar, 2024 @ 7:37pm
@jasper. thank you for looking into it tho. i asked because im hosting a server that will be used for a youtube series and it would be helpful for the guys needing to convert there bps. if there is anything i can do to help. let me know. and again. thank you.
Jasper  [author] 15 Mar, 2024 @ 6:57am
@Dante, Looked into it some more. Would require probably a complete re-write of the code to handle synchronization across the server and multiple cllients. Not something I'm interested in doing at this time.
Jasper  [author] 14 Mar, 2024 @ 2:33pm
@Dante, I removed the single-player restriction from the code, and while it acts like it is working, the blocks do not get replaced. Something going on down in the block definition layer. I will continue looking at it, but it won't happen today.
Jasper  [author] 14 Mar, 2024 @ 12:56pm
@Dante, I don't know what "torchmark" is. I will assume you meant "Torch". I can't think of a reason to not allow it to be used on a creative server. I will take a look at the code.
Dante 14 Mar, 2024 @ 8:25am
Is it possible to get this working somehow on a creative server using torchmark it's not an actual survival world it's just a community creative server.
Proximus Cosmos 6 Sep, 2023 @ 6:05pm
@Jasper Well thank you you mad lad. This mod truly is a godsend
Jasper  [author] 6 Sep, 2023 @ 1:04pm
@CapCosmos, only does armor blocks atm. I thought about including windows, but at that time, the connection points on the tritanium windows did not completely match those on vanilla windows. Qarannia has since updated some of that so I may take another look in the future. The other possible blocks are onesies and not hard to replace by hand. Like you I hated spending a lot of time in SEToolbox to do this, thus the mod.
Proximus Cosmos 6 Sep, 2023 @ 7:37am
Also, THIS MOD IS THE BEST THING EVER!

FINALLY I can convert all the armor blocks into Tritanium in one fell swoop and NOT need to spend an hour in SE TOOLBOX!
Proximus Cosmos 6 Sep, 2023 @ 7:27am
Will you be updating this to be able to convert EVERY possible block to it's Tritanium equivalent?
Jasper  [author] 22 Jul, 2023 @ 1:23pm
One way only - light/heavy to tritanium.
7th Calvary Airborne Foxx 22 Jul, 2023 @ 11:30am
will this convert the opposite way? (from tritanium to light/heavy) Reason I ask is I grabbed one of the star trek ship blueprints and I'm trying to build a ship using it as a guide (my own ship design, not a replica) and I don't want it to be in tritanium.
Jasper  [author] 24 Jun, 2023 @ 8:26am
I haven't tried installing both on the same game. Knowing how both of the mods work, I don't foresee any problems.
wingmaster 22 Jun, 2023 @ 1:37pm
i was just asking if it would have issues when installing both on the same game
Jasper  [author] 22 Jun, 2023 @ 1:32pm
Armor replacer mod only switches between light and heavy armor. It also allows you to affect only one block, or groups of blocks. This mod convert the entire grid in one operation. It also only converts from light and heavy armor to tritanium armor.
wingmaster 22 Jun, 2023 @ 1:21pm
is it compatible with the armor replacer mod?
Qarannia 20 Jun, 2023 @ 7:30am
Cool stuff. I've added a section to my guide with a link to this mod.
Jasper  [author] 20 Jun, 2023 @ 6:23am
It's a forward slash. Thanks for pointing that out. It has been corrected.
wingmaster 20 Jun, 2023 @ 6:15am
very useful:steamthumbsup:
Qarannia 20 Jun, 2023 @ 3:12am
Awesome mod! :steamhappy: Confirm step 3 is a backslash? I only ask because WC, MES and other mods use forwardslash from what I can remember; just so people don't get confused.
