That would be appreciated, I did say "This" version. It seems like you intended to expand the Shi to be NCR successor and beyond, so I'd imagine i would eventually discover some basic truck or car tech.
SilverHood  [author] 8 Jun @ 5:25am
That's just vanilla Shi tech decisions, I didn't change that. I guess I can add intermediate vehicle tech somewhere.
Bardin Anvilsson 7 Jun @ 2:32am
Why cant this version of Shi research intermediate vehicle tech?? Im stuck on bikes and cant research past it
SilverHood  [author] 30 May @ 4:14pm
It should be automatic. I've seen faction disappearing if Lost Hills die and then get released as part of peace deal, and then they do the High Elder decision. I'm working on a backup BOS faction just in case this ever happens.
Elm 25 May @ 10:34pm
Question about when you become absolute high elder as Hong. Are you supposed to assume leadership of the faction automatically or is there something else I have to do first? I was able to do the decisions that invite Guardians and Mojave into the Western Brotherhood but after the decision none of us were in the WB. Love the mod though and thank you for all your work.
SilverHood  [author] 14 May @ 10:15am
Yeah sure, go for it, post the link here when it's done and I can add it under translation sections.

Oh also the darkness falls

Hey dude,i'm a Chinese translater, this mod have not CNver in workshop,i want to translate into Chinese,I'd like to ask for a permission.

Thanks Shall We, glad you liked it.
Shall we ? 11 May @ 8:52am
Hey man ! Really wanted to thank you for making San Francisco Chapter and Darkness Falls.
In my opinion, you really managed to get that spirit/idea about what Brotherhood in original Fallout Universe is. Masterfully done, sir !

P.S.

Especially liked the attitude towards the Montana Chapter)

Kudos to you for your great work !
Wacheck 8 May @ 5:47pm
Man I'm tired of all deez fooz tha smell like meat.
SilverHood  [author] 3 May @ 3:15pm
@Rat, they're both fully compatible with Lost Hills Expanded. LHE may invite WashBOS to join Western BOS during some of the Oregon Chapter shenanigans when one or the other has been kicked from the faction, but I've never seen it happen in any of my many test games. No idea about Ad Victoriam, probably compatible with some funkiness expected.
Rat 3 May @ 11:58am
How compatible are the san fran and drakness falls mods with Ad Victoriam or Lost hill expanded?
Exarch 4 Apr @ 11:05pm
Update the Washington Brotherhood! please
SilverHood  [author] 31 Mar @ 2:28pm
It's a separate full Nevada submod someone else is working on, that has Isotope Chapter in Sierra Army depot from day one.
Glad you liked it :)
New Willinium 30 Mar @ 10:12pm
This was a fantastic sub-mod to playthrough, I honestly enjoyed it more then any other BOS chapter so far.

*That said* as I was nearing the end of the run, I noticed something regarding the "Remember the Isotope Chapter" focus. Something about a "Silver Road" submod? Is that something that you also are working on, or a separate project from another creator?
Saint_Basil 12 Mar @ 9:33pm
I'm glad I returned to this mod, I initially did not like it but this most recent update cleaned things up and got rid of some of the place holder ai stuff I didn't enjoy. Thanks for the new addition to my load order! Can't wait to see what you do next
Zaros132090 7 Mar @ 7:29pm
Thanks for the update. I haven't played the vanilla Shi focus tree, so I actually didn't know that was a typo from the main OWB mod. I will probably stick with the San Fran Chapter once I become Absolute High Elder.
SilverHood  [author] 7 Mar @ 6:38pm
Hi Zaros. That's vanilla code, I'll see if I can fix it for my submod, should be easy enough. You become Absolute High Elder by bordering the Lost Hills while at peace. If you are the biggest Chapter, they should offer you the position, and you can then accept, becoming the Lost Hills with Francis as the leader, or accept, but remain as the San Fran Chapter. That's the path that has its own focus tree section. If you're planning on becoming Lost Hills, then pick your fave LH faction, and Francis will retire after a month or so, and you promote your chosen faction into a leadership role.
Zaros132090 7 Mar @ 4:21pm
I haven't gotten far into this submod yet, but it feels great so far. Just one problem so far. I'm pretty sure "Expand the Brotherhod Delegation" is a typo and it should be "Expand the Brotherhood Delegation".

Also, since I haven't gotten far enough into the submod yet, I don't exactly which focus unlocks the ability to become Absolute High Elder, as well as if Shi gets claims all of the states similar to Lost Hills. But I'm sure it will pop up later on.
Mr Zoat 6 Mar @ 3:14pm
The tree seems a bit light on story. I don't know why Elder Francis was even in San Francisco, much less why he's trying to take it over.
SilverHood  [author] 6 Mar @ 6:42am
I'm not touching the generic settler tree, that way lies madness. Depending on how the official Shi update gets handled, I might remove the entire generic tree. That said, you can get scribes tech if you work with the Maxsonians, but I am considering adding it to everyone, and then having a 5-7 focus mini tree for each of the 3 Lost Hill political branches.
uberjammer 6 Mar @ 2:00am
"Brotherhood Scribe Exile" focus - not sure if it's yours or vanilla, but perhaps it could activate the BOS Scribes support company? Or a weaker version. (Are the support groups in vanilla? I'm running this with LH Expanded activated)

Also, there had better be a "That's what Shi said" joke in this mod of there will be hell to pay.
SilverHood  [author] 5 Mar @ 1:39pm
Hah, I don't know, and never really thought about it. Once the Shi gets updated in the main mod, I'll see if it's worth changing. I could probably replace mentions of the Emperor with Elder Francis, and it would still work relatively well.
Mr Zoat 5 Mar @ 12:53pm
I realise that the problem originates in the main mod, but why does backing the Shi Emperor cause the Brotherhood to come to power?
Love Train 3 Mar @ 8:02am
we are so fucking back
SilverHood  [author] 2 Mar @ 11:58am
Version 3.0 is finally here! Let me know of any issues in comments or on Discord. Should be fully compatible with Darkness Falls and or Lost Hills Expanded, and the map expansions too.
DeathStroke666 16 Nov, 2024 @ 7:24am
Any chance of you working with the creator of lost hills expanded? You two have the best BOS mods out there, and you both keep them up to date. Would love to see you two put your brains together and create something beautiful. Amazing work, excited for the new update
SilverHood  [author] 8 Nov, 2024 @ 11:20am
Yeah Love Train, I know, an OWB update broke it. I have a new update that I'm working on that fixes it all, plus more than doubles the size of the current tree. Soon!
Love Train 6 Nov, 2024 @ 1:39pm
Leader names are bugged/incorrect Lo Pan is named SHI_lo_pan_name and Elder Francis is similar
SilverHood  [author] 10 Jul, 2024 @ 7:47pm
For next version, I added like 25 generic San Fran BOS general portraits, so I will remove the non level 4 ones from current focuses and make them advisors instead.
Helion139 5 Jul, 2024 @ 11:59am
Timber does change to timbercause without much problem I think? (saw ai do it didn't do it myself yet) it has like the improved generic focus then switches to entirely new one.
SilverHood  [author] 5 Jul, 2024 @ 9:52am
Some people don't like Darkness Falls and just want to play San Fran only, so I can't make decisions wholly based on other submods. If San Fran Chapter owns all the Navarro Territories, then you don't really need the mirelurks, you'll have 50+ fairly elite divisions pushing the NCR instead. As for the Little guys mod, let me look at the code. I fixed it for TImberline, should be doable here too.
Helion139 5 Jul, 2024 @ 7:20am
Yeah but like he can put up that land to better use so I just give it to them since he has focuses to core it, use mireluks and send mireluks to attack ncr which is way more usefull then mere claims and when he isn't in your faction he just justifies on you which is annoying even tho he can't attack bc of the truce.
Also your mod is not compatible with the For the little guys (which changes generic focus tree) bc both your mod and the base game shi retain parts of it (generic focus tree) and bc of using both mods together you don't get the extra added focuses (tbh at first I thought your mod is still at version 1.0 and only adds the 75% bos support and removes other factions so I didn't even noticed the new focuses are missing and just went for normal brutal crackdown part of for the little guys tree).
SilverHood  [author] 5 Jul, 2024 @ 6:11am
I don't think the Immortal needs them as such... They have wargoals on them so they can link up with the Western BOS. I am missing a focus to invite the San Fran Chapter to the Western BOS faction, will will then let the Immortal join too, once he's finished his reforms, and the Troll Warren is dead.
Helion139 4 Jul, 2024 @ 2:45pm
Wait you are the author of darkness falls?
How come you forgot immortal has war goals on mireluks and apostoles?
Why bother conquering them when immortal needs them more.
SilverHood  [author] 2 Jul, 2024 @ 3:08pm
OK, so a forked choice: become Lost Hills Elder and take over in Lost Hills, pre-align yourself with a faction there OR become big BOS, take the important cities for yourself, convert the rest to a demilitarized puppet state called something like Brotherhood Administered California Territory. Restore the Guardians, restore the Mojave Chapter, fight the Legion, then go smack the Northern League and Dakota and whoever rules Texas. That sounds doable.
Mr Zoat 1 Jul, 2024 @ 10:45pm
WWRMD?

Roger Maxon's original plan was to safeguard knowledge, then share the safe stuff with people once it was possible to do so. I assumed that in the older version of OWB that's what Lost Hills had been doing in their territory between FO2 and the NCR-Brotherhood War. So divide up the Brahmin Baron's territory amongst small land holders and give them farming equipment and agronomy. Destroy raiders and repair old world infrastructure. Bring the Washington Chapter and the Dakota Chapter to heel and avenge fallen chapters.
myjesticnoob101 1 Jul, 2024 @ 7:34pm
it wouldnt make sense for a chapter with that big of land they own then. like i said maybe becomes high elder, makes reforms, forms either THE Bos or Grand brotherhood of steel to distinguish themselves from the former, possibly interacting with other chapters in which depending on ur choices can have them become puppets, annexed, or exiled(declares war).
for reforms theres a response down below
SilverHood  [author] 1 Jul, 2024 @ 5:31pm
Yeah, and therein lies the problem of trying to do any sort of end game aim: The end game as any BOS Chapter should be the betterment of the BOS as a whole, and supporting your fellow chapters and superior chapter. But if you beat the NCR, let Lost Hills take over Cali, they are unable to dig them selves out from their manpower, equipment and garrison shortage. The Evil Tin Can spirit is just the cherry on top that sinks the BOS ship. What should the end game be? Just take over Lost Hills, become high elder, implement the Paladin system, become the California Chapter, and then take on the Legion and the world? I'm open to ideas.
Mr Zoat 1 Jul, 2024 @ 3:06pm
Please don't. The Lost Hills focus tree sucks, and would require a complete overhaul to be worth playing.

For example, did you notice that the Lost Hills tree doesn't say why the NCR-Brotherhood War started? It's the whole focus of their story and yet it isn't explained at all.

You might want to consider Francis or one of the other characters having been there when it started so that you can cover it instead.
SilverHood  [author] 1 Jul, 2024 @ 9:58am
The San Francisco Chapter's aim / focus is to defeat the NCR. The fact that Lost Hills is about as dangerous as wet lettuce on a warm summer day is not something I can easily fix. I'm testing out an early war against the NCR alongside a political tree that will have Elder Francis retire once he becomes absolute high elder. You can then pick Rhombians, Maxsonians or Cultists to takeover, and continue as the Lost Hills, ideally with Lost Hills Expanded running, so you can have some fun. I can't make every submod a Harry Potter novel of events for flavor and character development, I just don't have the time any more. If someone wants to volunteer to write events, then hit me up on discord.
1956Vasily 30 Jun, 2024 @ 2:48pm
So much potential for this mod, keep up the good work. Not sure why the Brotherhood path is the only one even for AI, I personally prefer the toggleable one
Mr Zoat 30 Jun, 2024 @ 3:06am
Just called time on my playthrough, having split the NCR with Mr. Sallow. This nation and its characters lack flavour. The San Francisco Chapter doesn't seem to have an aim or a focus, and none of their characters have any personality.

Also, Lord Hills REALLY isn't in any position to send reinforcements, even if they could get it to you, which they can't because they're surrounded by the NCR and have no ports.
myjesticnoob101 29 Jun, 2024 @ 5:58pm
also some suggestions for flavor:
1. Can import the special nation of emperor nortons empires focuses for constitutionalism or absolutism if francis becomes emperor.
2. Can choose to either appoint the "chancellor" thus becoming semi-con. or allowing for elections to decide a ruler chan.(aaron kimball?), intellectual chan.(Grant c. hayes), Elites chan.(the shi's elite leader will do), or people chan.(can be either allgood murphy or a custom one u make).
3. if francis goes absolutist, he can choose either to stick strictly to the codex or "the way of the shi".
5. if he chooses constitutionalist, he can choose to adopt ncrs policies and become nearly exactly like them( corrupt senate, barons, nothing changes) or can proclaim his own way, which can either be the codex adopted in a constitution/conservative( but still hateful to ghouls and mutants somewhat) or progressive(accepts ghouls/mutants, becomes more enlightened, gains claims on all of the wasteland.
myjesticnoob101 29 Jun, 2024 @ 5:58pm
Since the san fran chapter has "the emperor", i think there should be an event where francis usurps "the emperor"/computer, and proclaims himself emperor. whether thats emperor of steel, of fusang, is up to you. or he can be grand elder of the bos.
SilverHood  [author] 29 Jun, 2024 @ 4:53pm
MJN, There's no new formables, but I can add some easily enough. What would you like? California Brotherhood? Or just Western Brotherhood of Steel?
Zoat, let me think on it. The AI will likely not be conquering anything, and you want them to have commanders when fighting breaks out. The AI builds about 50 divisions if they don't win in Navarro, and maybe 70 if they do, so I think I need more BOS generals anyway, or I remove the BOS trait.
myjesticnoob101 29 Jun, 2024 @ 2:39pm
Is there a new formable after assuming leadership of the bos?
Mr Zoat 29 Jun, 2024 @ 10:29am
I suggest having the leaders be a reward for conquering something as the balance mechanism. A commander that you don't want is worse than no commanders, because it makes buying more commanders cost more.

A medium sized nation like the Shi need... What, one Field Marshal and four Generals for most of the game? More than that don't make the nation stronger as you don't have a use for them.
SilverHood  [author] 29 Jun, 2024 @ 5:10am
Mr Zoat, I did think about gating them behind military academy, but ultimately, getting a stack of level 4 leaders for free is a bit much. You could do the Officer selection too, and then they'd be level 5? I could maybe add a focus / decision so that if you have spent PP on military academy, you get additional stats. The reason for the Brotherhood trait was balance mainly, otherwise you get a bunch of decent leaders for free, with zero downside.
