I haven't played Space Engineers for 3 years now, i dont even know if my pc still supports it? (Because of updates) This mod was made when there was really bad support for mods, ever since i've gotten way better at 3D modelling, i might give it a try.

The person who made the DX11 version for this mod disappeared and took the mod with him; is there any chance that you would be able to update the texture for DX11, or does discontinued mean that you won't work on this again?

Shame its discontinued this was one of my favotite gyroscopes. Ive had some memories of amazing battles that I won because of this Gyro

@Phoenix Texturing is no problem for me, add me on steam. I can provide texture files if you need them, however, you need to uv-map them yourself (or give me the map so i can draw textures accordingly)

I might take a crack at it. I like the style of this one, as opposed to the other ones on the workshop. I could make the model, I just can't texture really yet...

I see, the model is really easy to replicate tho. Isn't there a mod that clones this one? This is a very simple mod after all.

To clarify, .SBM is what the workshop stores your files in, .MWM is what the model is stored in...SBM can just be cracked open with winrar but the MWM is proprietary storage for VRage 2.0 meshes.

It just means there is no way to recompile the model with new textures/xml for porting to DX11. It's easy enough to just grab anything else that isn't encrypted. Without the source files, it might as well be lost for anyone hoping for one of us to patch it to DX11.

Cool, but no one can use the model without the source. MWM is encrypted and there are no tools to extract /import from it yet.

Still need a small ship version this is getting ridiculous 45 encased gyros for a small grid constructor that still maneuvers like a beached whale where is the small advanced gyro !!!!

the last time i used this mod placing a single one of these filled up the ships g-menu with gyroscopes so that i couldnt access any of the other blocks. is there a way around this or given the amount of time that has passed has it possibly been fixed?

Absolutely needed for my small grid mining hauler and heavy construction rig those things maneuver like a beached whale and that's with about 20 normal gyros

Small ship version would be a huge deal. I love to build large small ships but having to put 700+ gyros on them gets pretty tedious and takes up much room.

Reminds me of a T-14 Hyperdrive Generator :3 And, on the subject of the small ship version, yeah, that'd be SUPER useful for tugs! I have one I built a while back and it has close to 12 or 16 gyros on it to make moving larger objects easier. With one of your modules, I could have 1 or 2 for everyday flight, and one "big" one for high-torque jobs.

I took the dare of trying them a week ago, and although they are extremely useful (or were at the time.. I stopped using them since then) they remain fugly. I was able to paint them, but they were 99% whatever color you painted them, and there was hardly any detail at all. Just a giant blurb of saturated red paint (I like red) :P

@z51aj17 You are aware that these most likely don't work right? They where implemented before LOD was even in the game, i don't even know if the "painting" overlay works the way it was supposed to. :')

If you make a nerfed "realistic" version with less power, please keep this one, I am ok with whatever high costs are needed to maintain a 50x 1m^3 gyroscope, make it 50x cost if you want but please leave one version as 50x if you do decide to make a nerfed version

I do not see LOD's for these. Can you please create some, to help frame rates when these are viewed from a distance.
