I do NOT think this is needed anymore; I'm sure I've ran Caravans of the Old World together with Marienburg with no problems, post 4.1

@EzUNreal: For now, just put this patch just below of Campaign Weather Overhaul mod in your mod load order. If you do that you will recover all the weather effects of the weather mod, and also you will have all the effects of the patch, since as I have marked patch dependencies, it will work whatever the load order. Marienburg will use the Gilded Route and the Imperial factions will use the normal caravans.

As soon as I can, I'll look to see what's causing this, although I think it's because of the dependency that the patch now has in order to work. I'll fix it, but for now try changing the load order as I tell you and please post your results here. It will be useful for others.

@EzUNreal: Don't worry, I'll do my best to fix it. And yes, the last update was largely about adding IEE support, but I don't personally play IEE. I only tried it in 2 quick campaigns to make sure my patches worked with IEE without problems, and they did.

But there are thousands of mods in the workshop, and knowing what effects the use of one mod will have when using it with another is unpredictable. And also impossible to prove. There is no time for it. That's what the people in the workshop are for, to test how it works. So thanks for notifying.

About IEE, I think it is an incredible mod, and I know that in the not too distant future it will be an essential mod in my game, but currently it causes many more incompatibility problems with many mods, and many of them never, or at least for the moment, they will not be updated for IEE.

That means that for me, IEE does not really add anything to my game compared to the problems of compatibility it adds to my list of used mods, at least until someone make the real factions of that area of the map, since I am a fan of lore from warhammer fantasy and the truth, currently the mod totally destroys the lore.

But what has been said, the work done in this mod is totally incredible. It is a mod that in the future will be essential, for sure.

Yes cuz your recent update was about IEE compatibility so I took the assumption that all tests should be based on IEE, didn't realize you were playing IE until you said your game was fine. And I wasn't sure what the problem was cuz I was also confused how would the two mods be incompatible, so I made a general statement that it is causing trouble, and one result is incompatible with weather overhaul, not sure if there's any other issue. As you said, the problem was not with weather overhaul but IEE in general, which makes sense now.

Anyway much appreciated if you could fix it.

@EzUNreal: You were right, something is wrong with climate in that campaign. But as I told you before, it's not an incompatibility with the weather mod, which is impossible, it's a minor incompatibility of my patch with IEE. My games are in IE, not IEE. Tomorrow I'll take a better look at it and fix it as soon as I can. Now I have to have dinner with my wife and go to bed.

As I always say, please, we are not fortune tellers nor are we inside your thoughts. We probably won't use the same mods or the same load orders. So if you want a bug fixed, please give as much information as possible. Just saying, your mod doesn't work, can't fix anything.

@EzUNreal: Thanks for the clarification. It's what I always say. You have to be clear when you are going to complain about something in a mod. Any help is incredibly useful to solve a bug. I am going to test exactly and only with the mods that you say to see what happens. If you can be more specific on how you identify the error, let me know and maybe we can do something. I always want to fix the errors of my mods, because I use them too.

Ok I didn't make myself clear, this only breaks campaign weather overhaul in IEE after the update, not in IE. If you don't trust me ,test with 8 mods:
IEE, unlocker, mct, weather overhaul, marienburg, marienburg temp fix, caravan, and this mod.

Of course you don't have to fix the incompatibility if you don't think there's any issue to be fixed, but I think the result from my compatibility test needs be reported here for the purpose of information

As information for everyone, the only thing I have added in the last update are the files of Caravans of the Old World where the caravans were awarded to the Marienburg faction. Everything else in the patch is exactly the same as before.

Before there was no need to alter the files of the caravan mod, but a few days ago something changed in the base mod that has made it a mandatory thing to do if you want Marienburg to use the Gilded Route and the imperial factions to use the caravans.

I suppose that it is possible that some game started before the change is affected, I don't know, that is why I make the previous version of the patch available at the link that I have provided before. But what is clear is that this mod does not affect the weather at all. I wish it did. Damn heat wave makes my house 45 degrees hot today...

EzUNreal: It is completely impossible for my patch to be incompatible with that mod. I myself use it without problems for a long time. As the incompatibilities section of that mod says:

COMPATIBILITY
Compatible with everything that doesn't affect the campaign weather files. Fully compatible with all the Forestry mods (including Dynamic World). Free to sub or unsub mid campaign.
Fully compatible with Immortal Empires Expanded.

Ultimate Lighting 2.0 : it's fully compatible as long as you place my mod before his in the load order (put mine above). This way, both work properly!

You only have to look inside both mods with rpfm and you will see that they do not use any similar file, not even remotely. It's like saying your back hurts because the sky is blue. It's just not possible. And if you don't trust me, ask the creator of the other mod.

I have momentarily reverted to the previous version to obtain it and be able to offer it as an alternative download. It is advisable to cancel the subscription and after 10 seconds to subscribe again.

If due to the update you have problems finishing a campaign started with the previous version, download this file and place it in the "data" folder of your game. Once you have finished that game, you can delete it, since the new version is completely stable and updated. Sorry for the inconvenience, it's inevitable that some updates will break savegames, with so many different mods and load orders.

Hey there what exactly did you recent patch change? This mod is now not working with any of my current campaigns. I use a ton of mods, so I don't expect you to figure out what the issue is. But once I load my save game (64 turns in as Tyrion), as soon as I hit the end turn button it crashes to desktop. I have spent the last hour and a half shutting off mods to try and figure out whats been causing it and it is this mod. As soon as I shut it off, my campaign works again without issue. Your Sylvannia compatibility mod, which I see you also updated today, is also completely fine. It is just this mod that is the issue.

I have opened the game on my laptop, which does not have real power to play the game comfortably, but it does to start it and use the modding tools, and it has been curious to me that the error persists after removing my patch.

Before, if you used the caravan mod with this mod, you just had to disable the entries related to the non-marienburg factions of the empire from a couple of scripts and all was well. Marienburg used the Gilded Route and the rest the normal caravan system.

Now however, something has changed in some of the base mods, as if you use the two together, even with the Marienburg mods higher up in the load order, the Marienburg factions use the Caravans mod setup. That did not happen before, in fact, it was the other way around.

The funny thing is that no one has mentioned that change in their update notes. I would be very grateful to receive information about it, if there has been any change that affects this. Anyway, as soon as I can I'll take a better look at it.

@Daverin2112: No, you are correct. The Marienburg Temp Fix for 3.1 mod has been updated again 2 more times in a week, and of course, we are on vacation. I had not seen it. And it seems that it has changed more things than it says if this patch has stopped working...

My apologies, as this probably is some very odd thing on my end, but has anyone had any experience where the Caravans ARE working, but now even Marienburg, despite referencing the Gouden Route, is clearly using the Caravan routes from the CotOW mod? Including starting in Reikland.

@Herls: I have already answered you extensively and specifically in the New World Convoys mod thread, with more than 5 hours of testing the mods involved, that at least, in the proper loading order, the mods and my patches work perfectly together. .

Neither Marienburg and his Fix mod, nor Old World Caravans and my patches for him, nor the Convoys mod, produce the effect described by Herls in his game. They work perfectly together. If there is a culprit, you have to look elsewhere.

For my part, after almost 5 hours of testing, I conclude my analysis of the problem. I'm going to try to sleep again because I wake up in 3 hours to go to work...

I'm assuming you haven't looked at the updates section, nor have you looked at the Marienburg Temp Fix thread or the Old World Caravans thread. Yesterday I warned in those threads that I had updated the mod with the latest version of Marienburg Temp Fix. In my installation it works without problems. But I'll try the high elf faction today to see if the problem is just on your end or if it's caused by my patch.

In any case, people have a very bad habit of not reporting their situation in more depth. We have to be fortune tellers. It would be nice to know if you use, for example, IEE and the Convoys of the New World patch for IEE. Or what old world caravan submods you use. That could be important to know. It never hurts to know what related mods you use.

A little more information always helps.

As I said below, it was just updated today, so I'm sure its the culprit. At end turn I'm getting a "Caravan dispatch available" and also getting caravan notifications that caravans were completed when convoys were completed.

I've run into an issue, while playing as Eataine using TWilliams "Convoys of the old world" mod for high elves. The issue is I can only send out a convoy if I hire them. Once I hire them and send them on their first journey, once they get back I cannot send them out again, and I am forced to hire a new caravan only for the same thing to happen

I am using the caravans mod, with SCM Marienburg in conjunction with the Convoys mod. They just updated the compatibility mods for the Marienburg mod and your caravans mod. I'm certain this is the issue. Are you able to look into it?

This patch does not modify any tables, units, objects, abilities, etc... It only modifies the scripts that make the empire use the Marienburg ship route instead of the normal caravan route. Absolutely nothing else. You can open it with rpfm and you will see it.

I read your comments in the Marienburg: The Merchant Empire (FIXED FOR 3.0!) mod thread. You cannot receive the rewards received from the Gilded Route, as by using the Caravans of the Old World compatibility patch, YOU have actively decided to drop the ability to use the Gilded Route with the other Imperial factions. If you want the rewards of the Gilded Route, you must play with the Marienburg faction, which thanks to the patch continues to use it. Imperial factions use Imperial Caravans.

Or do not use the compatibility patch, and you will be able to receive the rewards of the Gilded Route, since as a reikland you will switch to using the Gilded Route when you conquer Marienburg, but until then you will not have any type of caravans. The compatibility patch is made for people who want to use the normal caravan routes with the empire, without needing to conquer Marienburg in order to trade. There is no point in installing the patch if you don't want that.

Your problem is external to the creator of the Marienburg: The Merchant Empire mod, or myself as the creator of the compatibility patch. The problem is caused by using these with the Defeated Legendary Lords mod. This mod is the one that allows you to bypass the limits of our two mods, so if you want to use it this way, you will have to request the compatibility patch from the creator of defeated legendary lords. I don't use that mod.

Sorry for the late reply I just assumed that it would need separate patches for TW's other caravan submods (since he did end up making them separate from his main mod). If that isn't the case thanks for this mod :)

@parryer327: What's wrong with those two submods? I use them without problems with Marienburg Temp Fix Compatibility Patch and 112 other mods. You can even see in my workshop compatibility patches created for those submods with other mods.
