@LizardManzzz as agreed with Corsairmarks I am currently the maintainer of the mod (you can find it in the workshop).

I may make a 4.0 patch of this, but I'll probably do it once we get to 4.1 since there are SO MANY issues at the moment (both privately and in the regularity of updates)

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE: @Corsairmarks gave me permission to integrate his code into my mods (Yes @Destwin, he actually commented about the mods getting updated) therefore here's an updated version of this mod which will be modified in the future to be more unique .

It's been close to 1 year with no updates and I get that not much would change to something as specific as living standards, but 3.12 did it. And there has been no comments from the author on weather or not the mod will be updated.

@Snuggy Actually I came up with this concept and suggested it to Corsair, so thank you! I am happy to know so many people like it! --- As for 'abandoned': this mod is technically not abandoned (seems normal to me that Corsair would have told someone!) --- About Licenses: I don't think anyone's willing to go against his copyright and actually risk a real lawsuit. You MAY get away with modifying it on your end alone though, since you are not creating a mod.

@riddemon I can't find "Mandatory Gene-Therapy" living standard any more. I think machine age make some change in species rights so its broken.

(Nicholas Butcher) in other mods without my express permission.


This aside, this error shouldn't matter much as you can only access Rogue Servitors if you have Synth Dawn.

@Doviena the mod indeed still works, in order to unlock the modded living standard you need the gene-tailoring tech

@Thomas Ian no, only Machine empires can use the Rogue Servitor civic.
Modding the functionality in, while simple on its own would require a lot of balancing and design choices.

@Seri The first is correct: a pop that is converted through gene therapy will be fully converted. This means that they automatically switch to mandatory pampering and count towards the original species (no sub species is created)

When they're converted to the original bio-trophy species, do they lose the gene therapy standard and just revert to mandatory pampering?

Or do they keep their own tab in the species pane and you have to manually switch them to mandatory pampering when they've all been gene therapied to perfection?

I love the idea of the mod. I also don't think it has any serious balance issues because bio-trophies aren't really affected by traits all that much. You can get a little extra Unity from them with Traditional and they can reproduce at different rates and use a bit less housing or fewer CGs, but none of that is particularly significant in the grand scheme of things. Their main function of boosting Stability and job production is species agnostic.
