Ooh-la-la, It's GAGA!! 10 hours ago
You are making this game even more beautiful, well done!
Omnplayer 13 Jul @ 9:54pm
Would you ever consider updating the weather in realms of chaos? I actually like the map more for some campaigns
DeadRanger 11 Jul @ 8:11am
ohhhh you know about 400 haha. its tough to narrow down. i tried the usual suspects, basically anything related to campaign. but no luck. all good small thing!
Louie04k 10 Jul @ 8:21pm
probably not in the scope of the mod but would be really cool if weather was more on a loop so in the mountains it wasnt always snowing but cleared up for some time or in reikland it was sunny and rainy 50/50
John Matrix  [author] 9 Jul @ 7:11am
@zecrayz I used to test it back when i was first working on the mod and i actually didnt really find any obvious difference fps-wise on my end. I thought it would have been a lot more impactful, but on my end i actually don't notice a difference, and if there is it's absolutely negligible. Your rig might also have an effect though. I'm using a good ol 2080 and i can't see any impactful difference in fps compared to vanilla. However, i'm sure it has to have a hit like you say, for the simple reason that there's a lot more vfx. I guess CA optimized the campaign map quite a lot in game 3 though.

@DeadRanger 100% it's an issue that was reported in the past by other users and confirmed to be caused by a conflict with another specific mod. I can't remember which one though. How many mods do you have?
John Matrix  [author] 9 Jul @ 7:06am
@Jack Greedy Hey thanks for the kind words my man! Will be here tweaking and updating my mods for as long as i can :)

@'Nsu I actually don't know as i don't use that mod. I checked what it does and to be honest is doesn't seem like something that would have any conflict with mine. However, for the CTD's i really don't know. I've never had anything like you describe myself, but i've never had any body else report a similar issue. I really don't think it's my mod though, as what it does and the files it changes really are not ones that i can imagine causing a CTD. Weird for sure!
DeadRanger 8 Jul @ 11:42pm
anyone else suffer sideways rain over reikland? cant seem to narrow down a conflict.
zecrayz 8 Jul @ 7:21pm
Hi John,

Do you have an estimate for the level of performance hit this mod causes? I assume there is more to process in the campaign map, and that performance will suffer, but I'm curious if you have any idea by how much
'Nsu 8 Jul @ 9:36am
Compatible with Climate Adaption mod??

(I love your mod, it makes the world so much more alive! However, for many years, I have experienced CTD's using your mod - typically deep into a game, about after round 30, the game will just suddenly CTD, when taking any action on the campaign map. Save works again once deactivating Campaign Weather Overhaul. I use 107 other mods, but none that should cause a conflict, other than maybe Climate Adaption mod)
Jack Greedy 8 Jul @ 2:01am
Johnny, thank You for updating all Your mods, i know its hard work but You give us all players so much fun and relief. Thank You very much, please keep doing that wonderful support.
John Matrix  [author] 23 Jun @ 2:03pm
@PAJONKSLAYER No, not compatible. The two mods change the very same things.
PAJONKSLAYER 23 Jun @ 9:28am
is it compatible with Grim Lighting mod?
John Matrix  [author] 23 Jun @ 5:39am
@Cody I know what you mean, but there's unfortunately no way for me to do it. Campaign weather is a lot more fixed and less dynamic since it has a single possible effect, than Battle Weather which randomly cycles through a plethora of different environment. My two mods are meant to be used together in order to have a more immersive, atmospheric and grim WH feel, but they won't have perfect correspondence between what's happening on the Campaign and what's happening in every single Battle you get.
Cody 17 Jun @ 10:08pm
Do you ever plan on making the battle maps more accurate to the campaign map? I find it often snowing when it shouldn't be. It's great using this mod with your improved battle weather, but they do not work together in an immersive way.
Khazukan Kazakit-ha! 17 Jun @ 8:40pm
ok!
thanks for the quick response mate!
realmadryt 17 Jun @ 1:45pm
Thanks
John Matrix  [author] 17 Jun @ 10:48am
@Khazukan Kazakit-ha! i have no noticeable effect on my performance on my end.

@realmadryt I dont use SFO, but there's no reason why it shouldn't be.
realmadryt 17 Jun @ 7:47am
IS IT COMPATIBLE WITH FSO?
Khazukan Kazakit-ha! 16 Jun @ 5:03pm
does this mod affect performance at all?
any fps drops when your mods are used?
Antagonistes 3 Jun @ 7:41am
My apologies for not getting back to you regarding this bug. It seems to be happening with vanilla lighting as well, so most likely not related to the mod. It might be an issue with the settlement model itself considering that it's custom-made by the Old World mod.

Here's what it looks like [streamable.com], if you're curious.
John Matrix  [author] 3 Jun @ 7:09am
@Antagonistes Do you mind providing a screenshot? I can't seem to notice anything on my end. Thanks :)

@DaciaJC Thanks a lot my friend! Glad you enjoy it!

@Krakenous I know what you mean, but i wanted to retain oceanic fog and mist to mantain some sense of dangerous exploration and mystery when sailing the perilous WH seas. I did reduce almost all the rest of the fog to vanilla levels, with a few exceptions, but i felt like keeping the oceans as i had made them originally. I find oceans in IE to already be small to begin with due to the nature of the map, so didn't want to make them too crystal clear. But thanks for your kind words!
DaciaJC 30 May @ 7:43am
Bloody wonderful work on this mod - I consider it indispensable for any campaign now.
Antagonistes 12 May @ 3:33am
Thanks for the Old World support, I couldn't stand the vanilla lighting. I have noticed some shadows glitching when you hover Oasis settlements in Nehekhara, just FYI.
Krakenous 4 May @ 11:06am
Really really loving this recently :D. Mild minor suggestion, is it possible to have a submod for just slightly less fog across water bodies, especially around lustria, when you are on a medium ish zoom out? That's all, that's it so far haha. Otherwise, wonderful work
John Matrix  [author] 13 Apr @ 2:01pm
@Alex.M.Gato Weird! I've never had any issue with corruption. You might want to check other mods that may possibly affect it. Do you have any other graphical mods ?
Alex.M.Gato 13 Apr @ 1:33pm
So, I turned the mod off then on again to try both and see if it wasn't, when I activate the mod the corruption gets affected, what kind of mod could be affecting this One? :(
I really wanna use it without messing with the corruption 😂🥺
John Matrix  [author] 13 Apr @ 11:14am
@Alex.M.Gato it definitely doesn't, you probably have another mod that's affecting it. This mod does not touch anything beyond the weather effects and the lighting "above" the campaign map.
Alex.M.Gato 13 Apr @ 9:18am
this mod affects the corruption graphics, idk why, dont know if someone already said anything about it
John Matrix  [author] 13 Apr @ 5:21am
@温罗太郎 Hmm, i regularly use most of those mods you linked (or have used in the past) without any sort of issue. The only one i dont use is the Urbania one.
Have you tried just moving my mod above all these in the load order of the TW launcher?
John Matrix  [author] 12 Apr @ 1:22pm
@Ty of Troy Hmm thats weird, i dont use that mod so i wouldn't know. Weird interaction. Try putting mine above in the load order?

@温罗太郎 Eh its hard to tell. However, try putting my mod above anything that could possibly have a conflict with it, in the load order. Let me know

@SOLDIERRFK My man, its literally in the title of the mod, and in the very first sentence of the description...
温罗太郎 12 Apr @ 9:03am
What MOD does it conflict with? It doesn't work!
Ty of Troy 9 Apr @ 9:11pm
any idea why having the faction mod The Sect of Akhalee - Temple of Blood [For IEE] enabled seems to have the weather not work
Dallarian 30 Mar @ 8:56pm
Regarding my bug report from 23rd December. I was confused and apologise. I still find the mod to be a lovely addition to my collection. Thank you.
John Matrix  [author] 30 Mar @ 10:55am
@Dairak Logrus Then you should ask Mazisky (the author of Ultimate Lighting).
However, as i mention in the description of this mod, place my mod before his in the load order (put mine above). This way, both work properly!
Dairak Logrus 30 Mar @ 10:11am
i have Ultimate Lighting(
John Matrix  [author] 30 Mar @ 9:34am
@Dairak Logrus This mod has nothing to do with battles. It only affects the Campaign Map. Are you refering to my other mod Battle Weather Overhaul?
Dairak Logrus 30 Mar @ 8:48am
in battles
John Matrix  [author] 30 Mar @ 6:02am
@Dairak Logrus Hey there, i think i don't understand. Are you refering to rain on the Campaign map or rain during Battles?
Dairak Logrus 30 Mar @ 5:36am
@John Matrix not have conflict mods srat at karl before i see rain in 1 battle
John Matrix  [author] 29 Mar @ 5:13pm
@ZimaBlue This mod only affects the visuals of the campaign map. What you are describing is a vanilla setting that is in the base game.
If you want to remove that (+ a milion other visual changes) check my other mod that changes battles: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3368217482
ZimaBlue 29 Mar @ 4:05pm
I don't know if it was done on purpose or it's a mistake of this mod, but in battle mode very often there is something like a fog around the screen, which is glued to the monitor and moves when the camera moves. In general, it's unplayable so far
John Matrix  [author] 29 Mar @ 9:57am
@Dairak Logrus Hmm no Empire has rain around Marienburg, Reikland, Stirland and Talabecland. I removed the rain only from Middenland to add some variability. Ostermark, Ostland and Nordland have snow. If you're not seeing any rain anywhere you have a mod conflict

@Mumm-Ra that's actually a good idea yea!
Dairak Logrus 29 Mar @ 5:05am
all time see empire not have a rain( before rain alltime!))
Mumm-Ra 28 Mar @ 7:17pm
Should put a link to the Battle version in the description
John Matrix  [author] 28 Mar @ 12:29pm
@grauhase I have update multiple times, steam is being annoying for some reason. Not sure whats up.
Either way, the mod works with no issues either way.
grauhase 28 Mar @ 6:33am
please, update!
Elitewrecker PT 17 Mar @ 5:06am
Yes
Jack Greedy 17 Mar @ 5:02am
Oh my Oh my ! I just discovered this mod, can it be used with Your outstanding and fable Battle Overhaul?
