unless you were talking about small cubes....
Though I do agree it should match the rate of the game's solar panel for consistancy. I will be looking at the adjusted version :)
Just remember, it's not a simulation of real life space engineering, since when in real life can we survive in space without food, water or air? Just energy to keep us alive! LOL It's a game, treat it as such :)
I will leave this mod for those who want a little more energy, I did the correct data solar panel...
My solar constant data sheet, math and all to automate the process of finding energy output at a certain distance. I'll be working on more stuff over time to make the data more and more accurate but so far, this is incredibly accurate.

Hell, my entire base runs off 8 solar panels, I could build 2 of these at 480kw and power everything. I have 4 assemblers, 2 refineries, 12 lights, med bay, a beacon, 16 batteries. So don't bullshit about this needing 300 solar panels to power one tiny little device.
@Vas : I try to find a balance between reality and practicality, not abused ...
So, I can reduce to 480 kW max if all want that...
It takes almost 42 solar panels original to compensate for the small reactor...with my panel, it takes about 8...I calculated that to make these solar panels are really usable...
I think the gameplay and I try to adjust without "cheat block"...
Of course the game devs have never told us how far from the sun we are so I can't tell where we are. I know we aren't between Mercury and Venus though.
I play on a RP server and I try to balance the game...
Lets pretend we are in orbit around Venus where the solar constant is 2.61kw/m², which means that on a large ship a 1x1 sized solar panel would give you about 6.525kw of power. Now, the large solar that is 4x2 blocks would have a total surface area of 50m², 130.5kw of power. Yours, has a surface area of 200m², which gives a power of 522kw. Divide this by 130.5 and you get 4.
Your solar panel is exactly 4 times larger and provides 25% more power than the smaller version of it.
