I would assume that loading the mod last would fix that, but I guess not. If possible I would try
removing the mod and seeing what happens (should be safe to remove and re-add); unsubscribing and deleting the mod folder from your workshop folder, then subscribing to the mod again; or making the mod load first (maybe this mod is overwriting another causing the issue)

playing on a 300+ mod server, im pretty sure the answer is yes.
but...your mod loads last, so it should overwrite any potential trouble makers, right?

after a few multiplayer sessions with my friends using ~100 mods including this one, the mod is working fine on our ends. it must be mod compatibility issue, although I can't think of any reasons there would be a conflict. do you have any mods that change textures?

It seems the skeleton model is using the human body texture for some reason? Very strange considering this is just a texture replacement. I would like to say it's a mod compatibility issue or a really obscure bug, but i'll look into it.

@Quilboar @Recruit if you want the fresh skinned bodies, you can just delete the texture SkeletonMuscle.png

So I played with this and many other mods for a while and I noticed, that I had both - red and black skeletons. I thought, they start red and turn black with time but based on the description, I am starting to think, that might be a mod conflict?
And who doesn't like skinned bodies?

To all those saying the corpse would still be vibrant red even though these are zombies and the bodies have no blood circulation, are exposed to the elements and in general the bodies are disease ridden by this point. nine days might not seem like a long time but in a world where death runs rampant, flies, rats and other vermin are going to be EVERYWHERE! its not like the smell of decay deters flies. plus flies reproduce fast. it doesn't take long for a world completely dead to have flies completely take over and feast. its not too far fetched to assume in under a week the bodies would have dried out and lost any defining features due to a sudden boom in fly population.

dont the skeletons eventually disappear? i currently have the sandbox setting on max so bodies dont disappear cuz i like seeing em but i noticed they dont decay now. Any way to make it so they decay but dont despawn?

In vanilla they are red, because it is assumed the flesh was eaten by rats. Default sandbox setting is 9 days, that's too short for a cadaver to decompose to a darkened skeleton.
