Thanks again, I will.

@ADVENT Testiculator Join the LWotC Discord, modjam/tedjam has it's own large section there and me, Ted, and many other highly knowledgeable people tend to be there regularly. You can post screenshots of units in the theorycrafting section for people to help you cook up builds based on your stats, overall role needs for your barracks, and random xcom row rolls.

I'm actually already on tedjam, I just haven't completed Mechanized Warfare to be able to try the MECs. Looking forward to seeing them if you helped design it, is there any specific build that you like and recommend to try for them?

Your welcome. I got a lot of other class designs cooked up but haven't taken the time to hammer them out into actual code. You should also try out Tedster's version of MEC Troopers for LWotC since I designed a majority of the class trees (and left all the actual coding work to Ted hehe).

Thank you for the response, I appreciate the explanation and it is interesting to hear what your thoughts are about the class. My highest aim soldier during this campaign is an Overlord, I decided on the squadsight build. In addition, thank you for making XCOM 2 mods.

@ADVENT Testiculator Eagle Eye gives less bonus vision than squad sight but allows for using over watch (squad sight requires Long Watch perk for over watching). The idea is to use Eagle Eye on a build that's going to be mobile and Squad Sight on a build that wants to park on high ground and shoot like a sniper.

If it's okay to ask, I was wondering what the advantages of squadsight vs. eagle eye are. I assume that eagle eye lets you have a bigger overwatch range, but squadsight lets you have a longer firing range if you have a teammate to see through?

It was a Suppression issue since Eagle Eye's (which class can still get) active boost to vision range ends on player turn and the Suppression continues through Alien turn. Class no longer gets Suppression with the new build so you can't accidentally lock game up anymore unless you run some kind of separate mod that gains the class access to Suppression abilities (such a special weapons with Suppression skill attached to them).

Cool mod I would add another comment regarding that overwatch issue since I almost didn't download thinking that the update did not come yet, but checked the change log and you already changed it

Heads up people, using Suppression/Area Suppression on targets you can only see due to activated Eagle Eye (the temporary +10 vision till end of turn) will cause a hard game crash due to the vision range buff dropping at the end of your turn while the Suppression is still going. so avoid doing that for now until I can push an update to address the issue.

Love this class - part of my Chosen's stronholds team all the time.

Honestly I like them having to use Gremlin for the first month and a half or so until SPARKS come online since that keeps you from just getting squaddie access to a Shredder gun which would make things even more easy than basic AP spam in modjam. You have to at least get to CPL and go into that particular build tree if you want it early from Jingoistic and then usually shortly after that you'll be getting SPARKS up and have double Shredder gun for the build that specializes in heavy weapons.

I'm fairly certain BITS are locked behind SPARK unlock. Other classes that can use both can't equip BITS until after SPARKS are unlocked.

If you wanted to I feel like it'd be fitting to restrict the secondary weapon to Bits only, no Gremlins.

Unless you feel like putting Intrusion as a possible XCOM row perk.
