Given that I literally cannot "use that program" then I will have to keep bothering people.

"I need an actual program I can point at the PAK"

This is not possible. You can use that program or ask someone else to make a program for your needs

I cannot do this 'not complicated' rocket science as you say.
If I could, I would have a functioning brain, and not be reliant on goverment handouts
I dragged CMD onto the EXE
I dragged the EXE onto the CMD

Nothing. I need an actual program I can point at the PAK files or vice-versa.

I tried what you said and could not
The exe immidiately closes
Putting anything in CMD does nothing
Putting anything through run does nothing

I should of just left the long-winded ranting here instead of deleting it as it would of made it more apperant how helplessly fucking retarded I am.

You need to unpack the mod you want to patch first. For the download, use the github link and go to Releases. Download .json, .dll, .exe, .runtimeconfig.json files and then follow the instructions in the readme

saves constantly having to harass someone

There are a few more but if somebody puts a EXE out that I can shove the .pak files into, that'd be something I can muster the braincells for.

Yeah, that video's of no help or use to me.

Here we go for a start for anybody who has a functioning brain and can patch them:

-Starforge
-Ancient Cosmos
-Fragments Additions (perlimpin)

I tried doing that, but it said:

A fatal error was encountered. The library 'hostpolicy.dll' required to execute the application was not found in 'C:\Program Files\dotnet\'.
Failed to run as a self-contained app.
- The application was run as a self-contained app because '[path]\StarboundTLOPatcher.runtimeconfig.json' was not found.
- If this should be a framework-dependent app, add the '[path]\StarboundTLOPatcher.runtimeconfig.json' file and specify the appropriate framework.

So I compliled it myself to have .runtimeconfig.json file to not make it run as a self-containded app. But then it said "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". So I added patch.json in the same folder and it worked. Can you add these files on the github release page for everyone else?

It's not that complicated. First download .exe and .dll files from the Release tab and save them somewhere. Then launch a command line from a folder where you saved them to. Here's the video showing how to do that (first half of the video):

Once you opened cmd, type there what is written in "How to use", but replace paths with your ones, and press enter when you're done

I'm too stupid... Can you please make a guide for this patcher?
Niffe  [autor] 12 oct. 2023 la 8:18
Yes, it is free for anyone to use, just mention it in the patches
Good Game 12 oct. 2023 la 8:13
Oh, I just noticed the autopatcher. Can anyone use that to create and publish patches?
Niffe  [autor] 12 oct. 2023 la 8:00
I might do it as well eventually

Very nice! Any plans for a Maple32 patch?
