ah I see, in that case I could add book vol 1, so players could opt to go for it or not. Any other volumes would be skipping that whole mechanic and not proper imo.

Well, I call it a questline of sorts, but it's not a quest per se. Let me explain.

You find an epic item in your normal playthrough (with a very low drop rate) called the Books of Khorne vol. 1 and 2. This item gives you significant faction negatives, but you must equip it if you want to find the other books. The character who equips this can find the Books of Khorne Vol. 3 and 4, Vol. 5 and 6, and Vol. 7 and 8., each with progressively more negatives. Once you find the Vol. 7 and 8 item, the next turn you'll have a dilemma in which you either keep the Books as a unified compendium, or you choose to burn them for a positive effect.

@Spazards - Thanks for the feedback mate, just need either some of the item names or I can search by DLC, but if from a regular update by CA, they are tough to find without the full or semi full name of said item.

Not to keen on adding quest items, as I dont know what could happen from this, which you kinda advise with caution as well, so probably not adding the books of khorne unless people really wish for it.

I added those from the og wh3 campaign, because I dont think many play that and it is some cool items to miss out on but on the other hand I never added sword of khain nor the nemesis crown etc, as it seems to powerful and I like the hunt for those.

Well, in the last update they put the Books of Khorne items, there's a couple more epic items, like the Wyrmslayer, stuff like that. A few months ago, they brought up more ranged items, mostly grey and green items, but apart from that, I can't remember any other new items. I think (?) the last 3 new factions didn't bring any new items themselves. I would recommend caution with the Books of Khorne, since it's basically a questline of sorts, so you'll either have to put the first item, which starts the item gathering, or just go "f*** this" and just put the last one, which ends the questline, up to you.

Wish I had read your post more thoroughly with the revert option, just did all 707 items manually :bonehead:

I have been absent from modding for about 8+ months. If any new items has been added by CA in that timeframe, let me know and I will seek them out for incorporation. :WH3_clasp:

Update for others who might be having this issue: the problem with disappearing rares appears to be due to changes in the "Uniqueness Score" column in ancillaries_tables.

Until RagnaroK has time to officially update this mod, you can patch it locally using RPFM. Just select the column and use the "Revert Values to Vanilla" option.

6.2 unfortunately seems to have introduced a bug pertaining to this mod and rare (blue) items. They no longer appear in the crafting menu, and fusing uncommons simply causes them to disappear rather than yield a rare.

Disabling the mod causes rares to display and fusing to work correctly again. I presume this has something to do with the new Scrap category and underlying item type definitions, but poking around in RPFM I have yet to find an obvious fix myself.

Maybe I can make it again myself like I did with Lizardmen. Time will tell as for now I do not have much of it and got lots to fix here and there.

Thank you for the update, I guess you would have to create a whole new resource, since Devotion now is just Public Order, and the Ice Crown and Orthodoxy tokens are meant to be spent on their new "technology". Since you get 50 tokens of each max, you wouldn't be able to research the whole panel if you used them as currency.

Removed the devotion requirements for Kislev, as that was indeed the case of hassle for you guys, sorry for the long wait.

For now Kislev have simple gold cost matching that of factions with no custom resource cost. I don't have any experience with the resource Kislev got and whether or not you accumulate a lot of it or not compared to other factions, might be added if I attain the knowledge later on.

Hag remains untouched.

Must still need the old Devotion resource, I had the same issue trying to buy ancillaries as Kislev and I couldn't even if the ui said only money was needed.

i think the popular ccustom factions should at least be considered. like araby, albion, southern realms... although yit might not be needed sincce araby and sothern relams have their own sort of item sop already.

Is this working? Having a crash where around turn 15 AI Dwarves always crash the game. Just checking Every mod I have that touches them til I can find what's doing it.

I debate whether or not I should implement support for custom made factions in the future like I did with Mousillon, albeit that faction almost had it all by its default culture compared to the mountain of work for a custom one. But I think it could be kinda cool to have an all in one if I can manage like some of my other mods.

:sealdeal: Daughters of the Forest (Baba Stank Ya) can now properly craft followers, which can be found under the 'Familiars' tab in the forge. They will be using spirit essence instead of devotion.

:sealdeal: Added function for follower Gabrielle (Ulrika only) to be usable by all lords/heroes in the game, which is why it roughly tries to show nearly 600 names, don't mind that, there were no apply to all function.

:sealdeal: Cave painter follower can now be used by all Ogre lords/heroes, as requested.

There are a ton of followers and this was some new learning for me, so if you come across other followers, which could benefit more lord/heroes etc. within a faction or so, let me know and I'll take a look at it.

Works fine on my end.

Only changed a single table making the 16 ranged weapons from the latest DLC available to all instead of only ranged hero/lord factions.

Yeah it happens with every patch/hotfix CA makes. I monitored it for 8 patch/fixes or so and every other CA does, it breaks the 4th book resource and next patch/fix it works again. :retreatordie::shieldwall::steamsad:

Yeah balancing is always a tough one, however I did cap purples, so you can only have 1 of each.

A slider for that seems interesting. I am a novice at MCT, so might be out of what I can do, but I keep dabbling with it from time to time. :parts::_wrench_:

Thank you once again. MCT options would be fantastic. If I may, I would suggest a price modifier with MCT. I took a quick look and I found them maybe a little cheap, especially purple items (at least in my humble opinion). Anyway, the mod looks great.

Oh I forgot I optimized the lua to include all diplomacy options on my end for the next update of this mod.

So it is the 'trade' luas you need to delete, basically all the files in the 'script' folder. :steamthumbsup:

@Aquiles - It will CTD without Eviltide, as the eviltide custom resource buildings comes from that mod. I am however trying different ways to hopefully add MCT options of enabling/disabling diplomacy or the buildings etc.

If you have RPFM, you can open the eviltide.pack file and delete the dimplomacy.lua file and save it, then you won't have the diplomacy stuff.

:sealdeal: Added crafting mechanic to Nakai, using the Old Ones favour to craft.

:sealdeal: Added Nakai's crafting mechanic to the other Lizard factions, as well as methods of gaining Old Ones favour, granting them 2 crafting options like Tzeentch/Changeling.

The only thing I'd love to change is access to other races items, they now appear when fusing stuff or as random drops, many of them unusefull to another faction as it perhaps buff specific Cathay Unit and you'r playing as Wood Elves.

But thats pretty much it, real cool mod!

I would believe so yes, as there are several mods allowing people to have multiple runes as Dwarfs and banners is the same category to my knowledge.

I'll give it a look when I can, unless you find a mod that does it in the meantime :steamsunny:

Back then you could have as mnay of the same banner in your army as you wanted.
Now you can only have one of each.

Ah... That makes me feel a lot better.

It might be cool though if, like, those tomes could be gathered via some relevant resource buildings. Like Obsidian for one, Gold for another, Salt for another, maybe Iron for the most basic one.

Just so that people don't see these unattainable resources on their screen.

They are a side effect, I only added those for the Changeling, as it can't get resources like normal factions. But since Changeling shares subculture with other Tzeentch factions, it shows for them too unfortunately.

So basically the crafting menues with "Trickster" is only for the changeling, while Kairos/Other Tzeentch factions have to use the normal ones on par with other factions, ie gathering the required vanilla resources. :Resource:

How am I supposed to get the four special Grimoires for Kyros? For example, Picatrix grimoire?

@zigzag Hello,

The massive list of resources does not come from this mod but either Armourygeddon or Resourceful purpose. Since I don't have any coding experience from what I taught myself, I have thus far been unable to make a "pretty" solution, which resulted in my temporary solution of moving the resources out to the side, so that you can still craft items. This is implemented in the 2 mods mentioned above.

Should it not be my custom resources, but those from the landmark mods, you can use my Panel Fix mod instead to get the resources moved.

PLACEHOLDER does not mean or do anything, it is simply because I have not added flavour text to the hundreds of resources, which I could remove for now if it confuse people. Hope that helps. :steamsunny:

@zignag, playing as empire I experienced the same, but there was a tiny spot down and to the right of the resources where I could click past. There is also a submod which moves the icons, but frankly I think the new position is even worse, so I don't like it (half the icons are off the screen)

Hey dude. First appreciate the great work. Ok problem - when I run my modded game using the Empire IEEE 5.1 collection I can't use this mod because the massive list of resources is on top of all of the buttons to build stuff. When I hover over the button or any of the resources I get the message PLACEHOLDER. Appreciate any tips or help, lmk if you need a save or log or something.
