I have the Cinema gamemode mounted through workshop, so it doesn't have a gamemode folder in the main directory and only shows as a workshop file in addons. What do?

I love this map! Any chance you will be updating it? Also, random question but do you know why the cinema vip area doesn't kick non vip's out? I have the cinema addon which add the admin/vip title but it just doesn't seem to recognise anything

How can i modify the map? I mean, Hammer can only modify .VMF files, but not .AIN files, HELP

It require HL2 but I included the needed HL2 textures in the map so you should be good to do. If there is any errors/purple textures you probablu need CSS indeed

I've seen some servers that have this map and were able to edit them, for exemple, i played in a cinema server that had this map, but with new passages and secret rooms they probably added themselves? How did they get to be able to edit this map when you can only modify .VMF map files, and the cinema's map file type is a .AIN??

A listen server is when you launch a server directly into the game (In other words when you load a map by going into the Start new game menu. That's what we call a listen server)

If you launch your server this way, there is no need for you to extract the file. Only server owners have to do it and most of the time they know what to do so you shouldn't worry. Just subscribe, set your gamemode to cinema and it will work without any problems

If you make that folder it goes in inside the addon, it should work due to how the addon filesystems work. So if you put it in "gamemodes/cinema/gamemodes/maps" in the workshop addon, it /should/ make it work.

IMPORTANT :
As for now it is impossible to use the map on a dedicated server by simply mounting the addon on your server or extracting it. I've contacted Sam and hope I can get this fixed soon because I believe it's a bug with Cinema itself. You can use the map on a listen server without any problems.

However, it is possible to use the map on a dedicated server by simply adding this lua file : http://pastebin.com/q3c7QYLH into the Cinema gamemode in this folder : gamemodes/cinema/gamemode/maps . The map will be working if you do that.

I hope this issue will get fixed soon because this is quite annoying. Thank you for understanding and have fun!

If you're hosting it on your server make sure you included the lua folder in your server as well, I have to set up some stuffs in Lua for the theater positions and locations. Since I can't include into the cinema addon I have to include it in the map addon. Server owners who want to use it must be aware they have to extract the lua folder as well.

And for the purple textures I can see it so I will just include it in the addon and update it tonight. I just came back from work so give me some time.
