Hopefully another will take an interest.

Nope, no HSR, ZZZ etc. This is the only Hoyo game I have played. The games really seem designed such that you only have the time and money to pick one.
ScriptGenius12 4 Feb @ 6:38am
Any plans for HSR?

I am not able to reproduce the hero class label bug. I have gotten a new computer since the last update so I am on a clean install of the game with the mod downloaded from the workshop, and an empty character pool. I tried all 3 hero class types for both genders and the name list looked normal. I wonder if the way steam patches workshop items resulted in a corrupt localization file in some cases for existing installs - particularly if the configs were manually edited to enable hero classes before I fixed the bug with them not being available. Try unsubing, deleting the mod's folder, and resubbing to download it again. Also, I have not worked on the mod at all since the last update. Between the lack of male characters + the voice actor strike, and my favorite character being absent from in-game events for longer than any other character, I have no motivation to continue the project right now. Perhaps someday if Hoyo can get me interested again.

Also, I don't know if you noticed, but most male voices for hero classes are not labeled, they are displayed as "voice 61, 62, 63 etc"

Waiting patiently for Natlan update

that's okay, thank you!

I am glad you like it. Currently on hiatus after burning out while working on the 4.5 update but more will probably come some day. As the size of Genshin grows, each patch is harder and harder to sort, with a single patch now taking over a hundred focused hours. As for the character pool, I didn't release it because many of them depend on cosmetics from mods that are not released. In addition, they use other cosmetic mods which are known to have compatibility issues with commonly used mods. A pool so large requires an equally large list of cosmetic mods. Most players would only want a dozen of the characters, not the full 81, but any pool would still need the mods for them all and that has too many issues. Sorry about that, but for those reasons I don't plan to release a character pool at this time.
Doomernic 30 Sep, 2024 @ 4:33pm
my sister and i are enjoying this mod pack! thank you very much for your efforts, and we can't wait for more whenever it's ready!

if possible, do you think you could share those characters from the character pool in the images, if you still have them?

Works on for me using Iridar's Appearence Manager, thank you!
Isaac730  [author] 14 Jun, 2024 @ 8:40am
What I hope to be the fix is published now. Could someone confirm for me whether or not they are now visible on non-specialized soldiers without the use of the mod Unrestricted Customization? I did test locally, but given that I missed this once before, confirmation would be appreciated. Thanks!
Isaac730  [author] 14 Jun, 2024 @ 8:30am
Sorry about that. I didn't realize I made a mistake when I added special soldier types because I use unrestricted customization mod and they all show up regardless. I am working on uploading the fix. For some reason Steam wasn't notifying me of comments here so it took me so long to notice something was wrong.
TheStarrySkiesOfPalaven 10 Jun, 2024 @ 4:24am
For anyone having issues, I also had a problem with the voice packs appearing after downloading the mod. However I found out they only refused to show up for regular soldiers, but not for the templars, skirmishers, and reapers; those were fine. After some digging around the files I found a solution that works! In the XcomContent.ini file, I set all the SpecializedType=true lines to SpecializedType=false for regular soldier voice packs (leave the templar skirmisher and reaper ones be). After i did that, they started showing up on regular soldiers.

That aside, huge, massive thanks to the author for making this. The amount of work need is kinda mind-boggling, and I can only say: amazing job.

Hey, I'm new to trying to install voice packs so this is most likely on me. I installed the mod and checkmarked the mod in the 2k launcher with my other mods. couldn't find the voices in the character pool when making a solder. I tried again by only launching the game with the community highlander and this mod activated to make sure there was not just a conflicting mod. Still no effect. I went into a campaign and attempted to customize a random soldier from the armory. Still could not find the voices. Yes I can verify that I'm running WOTC and not vanilla XCOM 2. I'm not using any customization mods, just the regular character customization thing. The only thing that is mod related that I see is the nationalities. Is there anything special I'm just forgetting to do?
jat11241976 19 May, 2024 @ 6:58am
Running into an issue when using this pack with Iridars Appearence Manager. When selecting a female soldier, the female voices don't show up for some reason. I've used this pack before with no issues with UCR for example, just an odd thing.

this is so neat and well made, Good job!
Isaac730  [author] 29 Apr, 2024 @ 3:00pm
It is cooked so it shouldn't have much of an impact on performance unless your system is already maxed out, particularly RAM. For a point of comparison, I am running LWOTC with 200+ mods and my load time first loading the game is <1 minute and load times for missions or to return to the avenger is about 10-15 seconds. This is on a 6 year old PC with the game on a SSD. With all these mods it still loads faster than vanilla XCom2 since WoTC made loading so much faster in general.
ScriptGenius12 29 Apr, 2024 @ 5:31am
I really want to try this but I'm worried that all the extra voice files will end up making my load times ass numbingly long while lagging my game to death.

Much love <3
Isaac730  [author] 28 Apr, 2024 @ 4:27pm
The first major update is here! This update covers the quests, events and characters from versions 4.0 - 4.5.

5207 new lines of dialogue spanning new and old characters.
12 new characters: Charlotte, Chevreuse, Chiori, Freminet, Furina, Gaming, Lynette, Lyney, Navia, Neuvillette, Wriothesley, and Xianyun
Total is now at 81 characters and 28,583 lines of dialogue.
In addition, the voices can now be used on Templars/Reapers/Skirmishers.
Several improperly sorted lines from the previous version have been corrected.
Fun and crazy fact: the mod is now 6GB before cooking.

Thanks for your patience, this update has been a massive project. As the game grows in character count, each patch is becoming harder and more time consuming to sort. While this patch was 1/4 the lines of the first version, the time it took was about half.
[TwitchTV] TorNis 10 Feb, 2024 @ 1:06pm
Awesome, pog! Community loves hearing all these voice packs <3
Isaac730  [author] 9 Feb, 2024 @ 3:33pm
I have found a small mistake in my continued test runs. 2 of Ganyu's ability lines were on Xiangling's abilities instead. Sorry Xiangling fans! This has been corrected internally and will be part of the Fontaine version update. I am also working on enabling the voices for Reapers/Templars/Skirmishers for the next major update. If you don't want to wait though, a quick google search will give the steps and the configs can be changed directly in the mod in ...\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\3111970470. Sorting of Fontaine audio clips has not yet begun (those lengthy archon quests are intimidating to work on, each having thousands of lines), but I have the files extracted from 4.0-4.3 backed up for when I do.

Character pool pls?

nice job, please add hero classes
[TwitchTV] TorNis 25 Jan, 2024 @ 5:50am
First of all. Great job on the mod. Really liking the choices of voice lines, considering there are so many things to look through. Some are more funnier than others, but that's okay. I wanted to write this comment to notify you about the fact that all of those voices in-game are missing special class tags (you cannot use them on Templars, Reapers etc). It's to my knowledge really simple to add them in code of the mod. And of course, I am looking forward for Fontaine characters and I guess Natlan too, since you said you will wait. P.S. Also cool addition of the genshin elements as a flags.
Anton Rabe 21 Jan, 2024 @ 5:53am
I like the idea of your mod and i see many job here! Good job!
Can you post your mod on nexus or some else ?
horsepowerYT 28 Dec, 2023 @ 11:25am
As much as I don't care about Gacha, The voicelines are great,an numerous. And since theirs so many, I can finally not worry about having enough lines for a soldier. As long as I don't here inner monologue too much. (like max payne)
mehari5 16 Dec, 2023 @ 8:19pm
It would be nice if there were other languages
outfoxed 14 Dec, 2023 @ 6:16am
I've never even played Genshin Impact, and I just want to chime in with everyone else and say my hat's off to you. You've put an incredible amount of work and dedication into this mod. Congratulations!
Isaac730  [author] 12 Dec, 2023 @ 3:59pm
I am intending to add all the Fontaine characters, Lyney included, but it probably won't be for quite a while. I need a break, have holiday travel coming up, and they are still getting new voice overs in game until we move to Natlan in 5.0. It would stink to have to redo it all after 5.0 when their dialog is complete. Also the Archon quests are so long in 4.x that the sorting will take even longer. So, I guess if you want Lyney soon, you could certainly make that mod far faster than I am planning to, but if you are fine with waiting for everyone from Fontaine, I will get it done probably sometime next year. Likely after 5.0. With no concrete plans right now I cannot give a better timeline than that.
What's An Airport? 12 Dec, 2023 @ 3:45pm
I planned to make a Lyney voice pack, but I'll cancel the project if you're intending to do it.
Isaac730  [author] 12 Dec, 2023 @ 3:27pm
Yeah sorry about that. I saw your mod release and was thinking: well I have been testing this finished project for 2 weeks, I better hurry along before people spend more time on individual Genshin voices. I commented below about the time spent on this, long is an understatement haha.
What's An Airport? 12 Dec, 2023 @ 3:08pm
Son of a bicth. I just made an Albedo voice pack and then someone posted the same thing and then more less than a week later. Props to you. 69 voices and 24,000 voice lines must have taken a long time.
Isaac730  [author] 12 Dec, 2023 @ 9:27am
For those that don't like Genshin but wan't to give it a try, I would recommend the following voices as they have great variety and are lore friendly. Here are some highlights of the pack and a summary of what to expect from them: Arataki Itto - sarcastic and over the top personality, Wanderer - angry/brooding, Bennett - young and full of energy, Heizou - inquisitive detective, Dehya - strong and fierce fighter, Noell - proper and dependable, Eula - "Vengeance will be mine!", Yelan - no nonsense. It is really hard to pick out just a few, about half the pack is good for non-Genshin players. Avoid the following though if you are not a fan: Klee, Fischl, Diona, YaoYao, Qiqi, Razor as they definitely don't fit the XCOM universe well.

Man I don't even like Genshin, but I gotta say, crazy commitment and I respect that 100% and will dl it to check them out

Jesus, thanks for this work, but still.

I don't like or play Genshin, but holy fuck, I gotta commend you for the sheer amount of work put into this. It's *insane*. Bravo, seriously.
Isaac730  [author] 11 Dec, 2023 @ 9:49pm
It was 2 years of working 40-50 hours per week. So about 6000 hours. *Insert Lord of the Rings Frodo 'It's over' meme here*. Really I have been working on it since shortly after Genshin was released 3 years ago, but there were gaps where I took breaks. The last year was just trying to catch up to the insane pace of new characters. Ultimately, it may not be perfect, but I simply couldn't keep going. Oh, and uncooked it was 5GB.
Ayser 11 Dec, 2023 @ 9:39pm
"69 unique voices"
"23,494 lines of dialogue"
"347 MB"
" Cooked "

It's official, I found someone crazier than me. Dare I ask how long this took to make from a timeline perspective?
