How do I span multiple LCD panels?
BooseOG 4 nov. 2024 la 14:02
IM here looking to see if you added the ability to link LCD's as apposed to the abandoned one
posthy  [autor] 8 sept. 2024 la 5:27
@ricwib Could you please give me more details? I works properly for me.
@Gilius Gaming: I couldn't reproduce your issue. Is there any error messages in the console? Or maybe a mod is causing problems?
Gilius Gaming 6 sept. 2024 la 12:27
I'm having a problem, when I set up the game it works fine, but if I quit the game and come back a little later, the display works but doesn't refresh.
and the strangest thing is that things that were already there freeze, but new things that weren't there are displayed correctly.

The filter command doesnt work

@Engma: I didn't plan to, but if there's a demand I may look into it.

Saw your comment on the abandoned version, this is awesome!

Is there any chance that you could add the ability to link lcds?
posthy  [autor] 18 mart. 2024 la 5:54
@BENBOBBY: You can create groups with whatewver block you want to include.
BENBOBBY 17 mart. 2024 la 15:55
@posthy Excellent many thanks! Appreciate you updating it so quickly.

A further idea would be having the ability to filter by different blocks! For example whats in assemblers, refineries, build and repairs (mod), connectors, drills etc as well as containers.

For example if you wanted to display all the ore on your base in containers, refineries and connectors it could be say:

[all, containers],[all, refineries],[all,connectors]
Filter=Ore

Maybe theres a cleaner way to indicate this but hopefully you get the idea!

@BENBOBBY: You kinda have a point there if you rarely access your invntories manually.. Option added, have fun
BENBOBBY 11 mart. 2024 la 5:30
@posthy Yeh when I first started playing I carefully sorted every container with networks of sorting blocks etc (I know theres also scripts to do this), but then I kind of thought actually whats the point! The refiners, assemblers etc just grab whatever they need anyway.

So its easier just to build general cargo containers and let the game fill them up as needed, then have LCDs displaying the total quantities of each material on the whole base/ship. Then you can instantly see oh ok we are running low on iron ore etc. Its more practical to know the overall storage than whats in each individual container in my opinion. So far Ive done this with Automatic LCDs script but I like the visual style of yours so it would be great if you could add this feature!
posthy  [autor] 11 mart. 2024 la 4:19
@BENBOBBY: I can, but didn't think anyone would actually need this function. I'm curious why do you prefer this over organizing your stuff into different containers and configure your lcds accordingly?
BENBOBBY 9 mart. 2024 la 7:33
Could you add an option to filter what type of object is shown please.

For example on one screen show all ore on the base, on another all ingots, and another all components etc. So it would be like "ores, [all]" on lcd1 custom data, "ingots, [all]' on lcd2 custom data etc.....
erik 6 febr. 2024 la 6:13
ok
posthy  [autor] 6 febr. 2024 la 6:01
@erik this script is only about to show what's in your inventroy, actually managing it is out of scope. I could probably write a seaprate script to manage inventory, but I don't plan to, beacuse there're already great scripts out there for that purpose. Check out Isy's or Taleden's work!
erik 6 febr. 2024 la 2:30
hello Posthy I would like to know if you could make a simple script for managing ice in containers and hydrogen with support for LCDs
BENBOBBY 4 febr. 2024 la 1:14
Nice, great stuff! Thanks.
posthy  [autor] 3 febr. 2024 la 13:21
@BENBOBBY Done, option added.
BENBOBBY 30 ian. 2024 la 16:43
@posthy - excellent thank you :)

Probably pushing my luck, but in future it would be good to add an Advanced Option for only displaying the percentage (or hiding it) too. And having the choice of displaying it as a percentage bar. When on a base the mass/volume is typically not really much interest tbh, all I really care about is how full it is! The more customisation the better really so it can become like a fancy AutoLCDs script and tweak it exactly how you want it :D
posthy  [autor] 29 ian. 2024 la 10:31
@BENBOBBY Good idea, updated
BENBOBBY 28 ian. 2024 la 8:30
Thanks for this great script!

I have a suggestion for a future release - could you also add percentage full info, either in text form or a bar graph like AutomaticLCDs. Then you could see a glance how full each container is and what items it contains. Thanks!
Deapri 22 ian. 2024 la 20:10
Awesome, thank you!
posthy  [autor] 22 ian. 2024 la 13:43
@Deapri: Yep, update's just released
Deapri 21 ian. 2024 la 19:52
Would it be possible to get the update interval in the custom data to adjust the screen change time?
muffins 20 ian. 2024 la 11:46
This works great and really simple to set up! Big thank you for your efforts!

best way to show multiple cargo containers on the same screen without using '[all]' like ammo cargo that is split up in Multiple containers
GROTESK 6 ian. 2024 la 20:33
It is so beautiful! I am delighted! Really! Hello World!
posthy  [autor] 6 ian. 2024 la 6:07
@GROTESK: now you can
GROTESK 6 ian. 2024 la 3:00
Everything is good and just works.
I really miss changing the size of the icons displayed on the LCD
