And many moons later, I present to you: Extended variable shops refresh less - Slightly Harder Kenshi
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3168217247

I may have not included the fixes mentioned below, but a flatskin only has so many hours in the day.

And also, thanks for letting me know there was a problem!

Nice. Yeah I love caravans and how they become a nice thing to do for money, especially if you produce a lot.

Thanks for the Fix Lawh! Seems to work now, I'm going broke lol. Nah, I will just have to visit some other Towns beside my usual Shek favorite. It's a good incentive to travel more, I like it.

You have created your very own mod. Resemblances to mine I think are becoming quite distant. It's honorable knowing some of the little roots that helped your designs, so right back at you my good man. Your work has taken a life of it's own now, becoming much more than the simple start it might have partly stemmed from.

A nice profile picture and a simple detailed description of your nice design here will probably make people feel quite inclined to download it when they see it. Your mod makes a lot of sense and is beneficial to the experience.

Also, note that I updated this mod recently to include some new bar locations. The bar searchword does not work properly, so there might be a few places where no changes were made.

Best of luck to your modding! It can be very fun, making things!

I love the idea and intent behind this mod, I have nearly finished tweaking a version of this that:
- Extends the Vanilla shop refresh times from 24 hours to between 48 and 60 hours
- Makes the refresh times variable. More wealthy areas will refresh faster than poor or remote areas.

In this mod it they are all set to 140 hours, which is a loooong time heh.

Lawh,
I do plan to post it if that is still ok, with credit and links.
Aaand I stumbled across your youtube channel the other day on a video for a mod manager app.

you are a scholar sir, good job(s)!

This works globally?

Fixed :cactusrum: (with possibly some places still missing, so if you spot it please do let me know)

Hub is a special place so I might have missed those shops. I'll have a look at it now. The shops shouldn't refresh when you load, but I think they should refresh when you import. There's so many towns so I didn't go through all of them separately.
El Flex0r 25 Jan, 2024 @ 1:43pm
Could it be that shops are refreshed at loading the game too? Because I live close to the Hub and it doesn't seem that it takes long to refresh the inventory of the Bar.

Good that it's of some help :cactusrum: That's a good way to get used to the tool as well. Having a look and a poke around can open a lot of doors.

Nice! Well I am still fairly new to modding Kenshi so I am using yours to understand which values to change and what they do :)
Lawh  [author] 22 Jan, 2024 @ 6:55am
Yeah feel free to make it as you wish, and you can even upload it as your own mod, since you'll have to edit each of the shops yourself anyways so you can't really use much of what I have done to help you here.
Mandalf 22 Jan, 2024 @ 6:39am
Hello, as best I can tell this changes shop refresh time to 140 hours. Most shops default at 24 hours, but there is some variation.

Lawh, I love the direction behind this. Would possibly like to make a 48 hour ish version of this if Ok with you. 5.8 days is a pretty long time for no shop refresh heh.
Lawh  [author] 19 Jan, 2024 @ 9:45am
I just changed it from three days to more, and I might balance it out a little by changing them dependent on what they are selling.

I used to love walking around as a caravan, visiting all the sites and looking at lore and biomes. This will make it difficult to get everything from the same small place. It might be too much if you're not used to it, but personally I love it. Gives trading an extra angle.

This sounds interesting! What is the factor? Refresh x 0.5?
