Great work but there is an issue: why do characters on my side including myself still have the T-pose bug?Any fixes?:steamsad:

any ragdoll mod will do that unless the mod is built off the compiled default ragdolls (lol) or the server and every player happens to have the same mod installed (lmao)

better off just disabling the mod on the server

can you add one of the l4d2 corpse ragdoll physics? i play on a server with mods and the reviving mechanics arent very compatible with this since it respawns a dead ragdoll as a global ragdoll, so its body parts are either stretched the fuck out or just flingy looking. i tried inertial ragdoll but they only work on certain models (the models of basically all light armor insurgents and assault whatever) :demoticon:

$surfaceprop in the QC file of the animations_player_a.mdl model, is set to "default", not "flesh". We can't recompile animations_player_a.mdl (any of the animation models) into a working state because we don'know all the subtracted animations/sequences, so we cannot change the surface property of the model via decomp and recomp.

There's an app called Skin Editor ( https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Source_Model_Skin_Editor ) which enables you to change the surface property of a model without needing to decompile and recompile it, but that wouldn't fix your issue on pure 1 servers because it would be a modified stock player model file, which the server would block.
You can't change the surface property of that model and have it work on all servers.

The sound entry that is being played is "Default.ImpactHard" in game_sounds_phyiscs.txt, which plays the 'plasticbarrel_impact_hard_*.wav' audio files.
Do pure 1 servers allow sound/audio mods?

The surface property ($surfaceprop) for animations_player_a.mdl (all the animation models) is set to 'default'. Change the 'default' impacthard and impactsoft properties to "Flesh.ImpactHard" and "Flesh.ImpactSoft. Maybe the bulletimpact property as well.
Keep in mind that any model or map material set to $surfacprop "default", or doesn't have a surface property defined, will play the flesh impact sound effects.

You're better off having a phy file for each character model. No need to compile for each model, just copy the animations_player_a.phy six times and rename each instance to a corresponding character model.
The ragdolls behavior might change due to the differences in the 'density' and 'dampening' values of the 'flesh' surface properties, but you can change those values to match the 'default' surface properties in the surface properties script.

Looks amazing, sounds weird. Any chance you can revert back to the default SFX? Bodies sound like empty boxes when they hit the floor...

is there a console command i can use to stop explosives from sending them flying? while flying ragdolls do look cool and feel pretty satisfying, i've seen what fragmentation grenades do and they really don't apply that much force.

Could you make a mod where there can be infinite bullet wound decals on the ragdolls?
It would make the game more realistic? BTW, this is the best and most realistic ragdoll mod for insurgency in the entire workshop.

i think i know why the ragdolls sound like empty plastic jugs. in the /scripts/game_sounds_physics.txt included in the mod's vpk the "Default.ImpactHard" and "Default.ImpactSoft" values are set to play the file "physics/plastic/plasticbarrel_impact_hard_0#.wav" and "physics/plastic/plasticbarrel_impact_soft_0#.wav" respectively.

So, instead of ragdolling, the death animations is instead - well, an animation instead which makes them take a pre-determined outcome, am I getting that right? Cause I don't know if it's the way I weighted the playermodels on my end but when they are crouched - they pretty much end up on the same pose when they die which isn't the case when they're standing up

I play on a custom PvE server and after downloading this mod, security bodies bug out (stretched bones/joints). I suspect it's conflicting with the medic mod the server is running, as it tends to move security bodies so they can be revived easier. Is there any chance we can get a version that only affects insurgent forces?

don't forget to use cl_ragdoll_collide 1 for epic physics interaction
