Why would that process need to be automatic, when the player can simply select the general's bodyguard? Sounds like something that would require a lot of coding for a rather tiny feature. Seems overcomplicated.

Well the actual setting of the weapon in game only effects stats, the varient mesh of the unit in the Mesh editor is what's used to edit the visuals of the unit. So, you'd have to open the Variant mesh as text and replace it with the Spatha model from Attila's files. A few Tuts might help to explain better than i
None, and I do mean none, of your unit mods that I currently have installed (this one, Hellenic attendants, Aquilis something, and a couple others) are compatible with the mod "Imperial Legions of Rome" and it's subsequent Legion re-skin addons.
But i will for sure pick it up when i can and get to modding!
As for the model i got it from ebay, the guy said he bought it from a novelty comic book shop, so maybe check one of those online or in your town :D
