:)
the current compatibility seems accidental.
i don't have the technical knowledge to read the code, but from some ingame testing.
Fog of war seems to appear from whatever Tile the 'pawn' of the vehicle is located.
for the smaller 1 tile, and certain vehicles. that 'pawn' tile is unobstructed.
using the 3x3 or bigger vehicles. the 'pawn' tile is entirely surrounded and unable to see anything
for some 2 wide vehicles, such as the highwayman, Visibility is 180 degrees, from front to back of the vehicle, obscuring the other half.
I am unsure how the vehicles work, creating like, temporary vehicle blocks? i assume if you could set the blocklight property to false as you have said, it would solve the issue entirely?
unsure how feasible this is.
Can ya?

@MultiNightsniper Thanks for the praise :)
Looking into vehicle was orinialy my plan. But there is already some support for them in the source code. And when i tried different vehicles i got different sight depending on vehicle. Full view for the motorbike and practically zero view from the tank. Not sure if it works as intedned or if its simply not complete. And i dont understand enough of CAI and vehicles to change that yet. So i wont be touching that for now. Might look at it again at a later time but not promises.
Thank you! Works just fine now.
silly me, your mod works fine. i'm now very excited to start building some questionably ethical underground labs with see-through containment windows!
I heard of RIMMSqol before but never actually took a look until now. definitely going to try it out now. thanks!
I and also tried switching load order with no difference.
My guess is some sort of conflict with some other mod. I dont know of any other mod that alters or patches CAI so even putting this mod at the end might not help.
Maybe some other mods alters TMaterials walls?
Have you ever used RIMMSqol ? You could use it to look at the blockLight property of the transparent wall from TMaterials and check if it set to true. If it is some other mod is changing it.
I'm also running 838 mods and having a weird issue where my game won't save (a bunch of stuff updated today, but i'm pretty sure your mod isn't the issue because it was saving fine with your mod yesterday), so it could be anything
i will try switching the load order later and let you know
still looking forward to using this with Windows though!
So here I am
