I dont have a fix I can apply currently until they update ladders/hatches waypoints again.
Updated the T2 Shuttle incorrect loader type at start to match the installed chaingun.
Increased the oxygen supply for medbay and shuttle command rooms.
Moved forward periscopes up to proper ceiling height.
Added more Supply Cabinet tags to containers to help AI item cleanup.
sorry for the inconvenience
so yeah tier 2, tier 3 are busted
pretty funny sub despite that
I had not considered a prisoner transport that is also made for attacking and boarding other subs. The Remora refit concept might work perfect for what you are looking for.
Just a quick question: are you still thinking of making a submarine with a more prisoner management/personal transport theme?
Like for example a prison capable of executing those it holds via drowning or other means, or which would have special features like a manoeuvrable drone to make boarding and capturing pirates easier?
4) The ballast pumps are actually tuned down quite a bit. The vanilla setting for each pump is 600 and they are currently set to 400. It does handle damage well.. however with its limited offense I considered this balancing. The sub should be able to handle a breach the size of an open hatch. Any more than that and it should start sinking.
5) I had a lower docking hatch on it but the bots got weird with it so dropped it.
6) The batteries do drain fast and only give you about 8 minutes of power, depending on load. This timing was based on community feedback for vanilla balancing.
Please come back to comment about anything else you find. I will try my best to fix it if possible.
1) I have updated sub and depth charge tubes now work.
2) The bots repairing near medical I believe comes from the front armor being damaged. The black nose piece adds 200hp and gets damaged .. which the bots think they can repair through wall but cant reach. Debating a few solutions to this.
3) Dealing with suits between shuttles and sub are kind of difficult with AI. If you command the AI to cleanup through the radial menu then they should put the suits back.
- Bots have trouble welding a section of the hull in the medical compartment, frontmost along the floorline.
- Depth charges are not launching
- Bots have trouble returning suits to suit lockers, preferring to drop them in the crafting section.
And just some general feedback:
- Ballast pumps and ship pumps in general feel overtuned, able to keep the ship mostly unflooded when severely breached in several locations. Ballast tank feels like it still kinda works when an entire wall of the tank is missing.
- Weaponless Tier 1 is cool, been neat to adjust to.
- Ballasts doubling as airlocks is cool.
- Really wish it had a lower docking hatch for derelict work.
- Batteries feel like they drain FAST
