Maaaan, all of the cool artillery vehicles fall prey to this dreaded big update of Vehicle Framework.
It will take a while before the update drops, then still more until the modders decide to update their mods.
And even longer before some of them quit and we get to beg other modders to take up the torch.
MechTech is taking awhile to update (so the Tarantula artillery mech is unavailable), who knows when Mlie will get to Reinforced Mechanoids 2, the Whirlwind over here is unusable for the foreseeable future Q__Q.
But at least the rest of the stuff is usable.

There are some restrictions, though: Combat Extended for 1.6 vehicles is currently performing poorly, and the 1.6 Vehicle Framework is still a bit unstable. As a result, there is no CE compatibility for now, and the Whirlwind vehicle has been temporarily disabled.
Every other vehicle should be OK
There might be an update in the future as a separate mod. I had planned to add bikes, flying vehicles, and finally make use of an upgrade system, but that won't happen anytime soon.

You have the basic Rhino and then: Whirlwind upgrade; heavier gun upgrade (ex: Melta); Annihilator turret, Destructor turret etc, sponson options, up-armor etc.
GTek's Vehicles - Oshkosh L-ATV is a good example of how different a vehicle can be with upgrades.
The Predator & Rhino variants but without imperial iconography (the doubleheaded eagle on the front). So basically the same Predator versions shown here + Whirlwind + basic Rhino with a bolter on top (inspiration being that basic M113 lookalike APC vehicle in the VE mod with a machinegun). I don't think it would need much work except for creation of a basic Rhino (i.e removing the Whirlwind mount)?
So mod you'd have the tank variants + artillery + dedicated (non-superheavy) transport. A non-Imperial Iconography Landraider thrown in would be pretty cool, but that's more extra to the idea.
Lore context: The Rhino (and Predator through that) are known ancient STCs (i.e they have a lore reference on the "Liber Armorum" as being used against unnamed indigenous aliens by early human colonist.

Потому что меня одновременно душит жаба "вау всего 1 химка за противотанковый лазпушечный выстрел" и синдром неполной обоймы "танк должен быть доверху забит выстрелами" (5000 химки).
Можно, конечно, ничего не делать, мод отличный и так.

Время сведения - снижено,
Баланс? - мамочка говорит, я особенный мальчик и мне не нужно делать баланс

@Kytheron, thanks for such helpful feedback. I've never played with CE before, so this kind of tips is super helpful for me. So anyway:
Range - increased,
Warmup time - reduced,
Balance? - Mommy says I'm a special boy and I don't need to do balance.

Да, и не только про Лендрейдеры.
Просто у них даже с полным экипажем дальность как у снайперки из ваниллы (30-40 клеток где-то). А в СЕ сильно поднимается дальность стрельбы у всего, автомат бьёт на 55, снайперка на 75, снайперская турель вообще на 86. В общем есть ощущение, что стоит поднять дальность стрельбы для бронетехники, у нее же ещё беда со сведением есть, и часто происходит, что пока цель входит в зону обстрела, ты успеваешь дать только один залп из лазпушек, и всё
Или ты всё-таки имеешь ввиду, что максимальная дальность у всех турелей в моде недостаточна?
As for the idea of using 1 unit of resource for multiple shots, Rimworld unfortunately doesn't support splitting resources into fractions. So it would require writing custom code, which in turn would affect performance.
As for the upgrades, I'd love to play with them myself, but I've had very little free time lately, so I can't promise them coming anytime soon.
1 uranium ore = X laser shots. Reason is that uranium makes more sense and is more heavy. Alternatively, make tanks run on uranium or perhaps via upgrades. Would love to see upgrades too.
The vehicles will be will be completely non-flammable in the Combat Extended version that will be coming out soon.

Unfortunately, there's no CE compatibility at the moment. But I've already had about 15 people write me about it. I guess I have no choice :D I'll try to finish the patch in the near future when I have some free time.
