Can you please also add advanced armor, hull and shield tiers? Because only advanced weapons makes defences pretty useless at one point. The original mod had them so maybe you can copy / paste it.

I understand... and in fairness I'm not ready to return to Stellaris until the Devs iron out the bug (until the next time they bring out another DLC XD ) and I'm still assessing which mods I will subscribe and which one's will be un-subscribed. Unfortunately so. Different scaling/balancing ideas can play havoc with bigger mods. I hear good things about those you mentioned, but I've used AVW/AVC since I started modding Stallaris. Maybe one day, when I have time, I can check them out! XD

Not really. Those IDs, IIRC, are assigned based on your mod list. As such, it'll be different per user.

If you mean the space fauna added with the Galactic Archive, they are included already. Weapons in this, and components in the component version of the mod.

I just got back from 2 months of training, and have not looked into anything that has happened since I've been gone. Mayhap I've missed something.

I really like this mod, just realised that I should not use this with AcoT, AoT, or even Zenith of the Fallen Empires. These new weapons & components are often just better than the fallen empire/delta stuff.

Still a very cool mod just want to emphasize that!

also, turns out it wasnt just changing mods, it was any of my most recent saves, pretty sure one drive was breaking them somehow as now that i fully disabled it im not having any issues loading.

weirdly enough only the misc weapons weren't working, i did actually upload my fix for the patch, and linked it in a comment, on the mod

Likely the RS patch hasn't been updated. The last major patch I did with Revived changed all the component values to hard coded ones, versus the variable calls it was previously. Until that patch is updated, most of the weapons will be in a similar state as the Strike Craft: no values.

As for the crashing, it's likely due to the save file recovery system being unable to cope with the mass amount of changes needed to revert the overwrites the Patch caused. It's a durable recovery system, but it does have it's limits. Hence why I did the last update in a series instead of all at once. Basically need to wait (or do yourself) for the Patch to be updated by blazeknave or one of the other authors.

Have to remember, AI empires don't play like players. We mostly focus tech research, with a side of Unity. They do not. Unfortunately, changing how they research, and "play", is beyond the scope of this mod.

So I finally unlocked end game tech Tier 10, and I looked at 4 different empires and none of them were using any of the tech past tier 4. So I am not sure they know how to use it, or want to use it.

The AI should use it, but they are very slow at tech research. Normally, I hit endgame year and one or two factions have a tech or 3 from the mod.

What part of the Fallen Empires patch failed to work? It's set up to fire off an event mid January to start the upgrade process, but it takes a few years (5 IIRC) before any upgrades happen. Additionally, it will only upgrade newly spawned ships as FEs do not use shipyards for anything: it's all events that spawn their ships.

Does the AI actually use this weaponry? I looked at their ships late game and they're still on Vanilla stuff? Also - I used that Fallen empire patch and it didn't work.

It likely wouldn't work well. While I have not changed the names of the weapons/components, I have changed the values of things for balance. The patches would revert the balance pass, and apply the values from 2020; "slightly" out of date. Additionally, none of the space fauna items would have range adjustments.

Hey Hellshiver, I was wondering if it was intended that fallen empires are able to spawn with weapons added by this mod? (as well as components from AVC such as advanced dragonscale armour)

Assuming it's not, you can prevent them from spawning with unintended components (most of the time) by adding the following modifier to the ai_weight block for the component_template entries of the relevant weapons/components:
modifier = { factor = 0.0 is_fallen_empire = yes }

I hear ya. It's unfortunate many mods do not follow Vanilla's (roughly) 30% increase per tier. Almost maddening!

It's more than a simple name change, rather a duplication of every weapon/component with their own stats, costs with scripts, additional defines in new locations, localization strings, icon location structure changes... it's a lot to figure out without being able to test it (don't have Galactic Archives DLC).

I can put something together, but cannot promise it'll work correctly nor how long it will take.

Also support adding Space Fauna to this. Two of the people I play multiplayer with really enjoy using space fauna, and they're going to get unfairly left behind as soon as we reach these techs. A different mod that buffs space fauna (nevermind the fact that none currently exist) is inevitably going to take a different approach, with different balance, which means that it would still end up being unfair.
Besides, space fauna essentially just use vanilla weapons anyway, just renamed for flavor (x-ray laser -> x-ray eye beam, Armored Torpedoes -> Carapace Bio-Torpedoes), and they're even unlocked by the exact same vanilla technologies.

It depends on the player, honestly. Top tech with a solid economy will be very strong against them, while an early showing can still be painful.

If you're finding Crisis a bit lacking, you may want to adjust the end-game and/or mid-game start dates to be earlier or bump up to a higher multiplier. I believe there are mods to increase Crisis threat as well, as some players find max Crisis a push over even with Vanilla tech.
