Oh my, I use this mod, but I have trillions of ships in certain places. If I had not this... wow :thronesship:

mastervovan 7 Mar, 2021 @ 7:29am

Sir Marillion 26 Mar, 2020 @ 2:08am
Now there is a mod that increases the number of trade ships and carts. Look for it in the workshop! =)
pampidoo 26 Jul, 2019 @ 6:54am
I think so.
Nomad416 7 Sep, 2018 @ 3:37pm
Will this work with GC on IA Map mods?
Swords 1 Aug, 2018 @ 5:17am
Can you make a mod with more trade ships?
jan.hattwig 26 Jul, 2018 @ 9:42am
Please update - thanks :-)

I love the trade ships, is there a way to increase them by x1.5 or x2? It just makes the map look cooler with all the ancient trade going on
salacassta 2 Jan, 2017 @ 3:50am
I really really love those lovely trade ships, how can I add their number?
Buzzerker 1 Mar, 2015 @ 1:29pm

@ TheMetalfreak360 - There is no use arguing with jerks man, they won't get it in their skulls, ignore him.
TheMetalfreak360 30 Sep, 2014 @ 4:24pm
@Samurai, wtf mate, 1. It might help people that stream/make videos of Rome 2 TW, this can add on the few fps, that recording takes away. 2. Everything helps, like if they make a mod that increase my FPS, but takes away close to nothing of my gaming experience I personally am fine with that, and I doubt anybody else are arguing about that. 3. Some people play on laptops, I am guessing their FPS can drop sometimes, especially when trading a lot. And also, this is a mod, even if some people don't like it, it is still something that you are not forced to use. So stop bitching about it.
Dr. GonZo 30 Sep, 2014 @ 3:08pm
It's "fewer" trade ships, not "less"
Samurai08 30 Sep, 2014 @ 1:21pm
If you need this to run better your computer is so shit you shouldnt even get Total wars

@Boicote In the matter of increasing/decreasing ships to regulate trade and/or FPS, is it possible to go into the XML and set the default value for ship trade at a higher value, all the while, decreasing the number of ships, thus also increasing default gold/science/religion values through trade and FPS at the same, beneficially?
Kinetic Energy Productions 30 Sep, 2014 @ 4:28am
@Boicote Again, thanks for the mod, and I hope to enjoy it, as well as also learn how to mod better for Civ V. Exchanging knowledge it beneficial for us, no? Thanks!

@Boicote By the way, as my PC is for gaming and programming anyways, and I don't bother with thermal nor liquid cooling, I leave my computer open case open on one side, and it also helps reduce the noise. I play 'War Thunder' on medium settings, and get up anywhere between 30 - 60 FPS. As for Civiliaztion, I have all three packs, I have a lot of mods enabled, and use custom maps and units, including flag packs, and my settings are on MAX, but my game runs smoothly with 20+ civs and 4+ city states on a small map, even custom made small maps with lots of resources and varying terrain. If your hard drive is an HDD, try defrag, and also delete old saves. It definitely helps to partition your HD to C, D, E, etc... and keep the C Drive for main system files and security, and the rest, such as games, should be put on D, E, etc...

@Boicote If your computer is old, try updating the hard drive to an SSD, and add more RAM. You can get a Crucial, Samsung, Kingston, etc... SSD for cheap these days, especially online, and as for RAM, it doesn't hurt to update it to max slots and capacity. I have a MacBook Pro (3+ years old with Windows 8.1 Pro, OS X Mavericks, and Linux Ubuntu), and a custom built PC (5+ years old gaming PC), and both are to the MAX, but with a budget in mind. You don't have to be "rich" to upgrade. Just know some hardware and software compat. Great deals during the holidays and product upgrades. No need for the "latest and greatest" anyways. Thanks for the mod., though.
Osthammer 30 Sep, 2014 @ 2:29am
ok
drazan 30 Sep, 2014 @ 1:40am
@Æ he means it on a visual way of speaking. those small ships that follow the trade routes, they are just graphical.
Cataph 30 Sep, 2014 @ 1:33am
Thanks man, I think this really helped my low fps.

AE: I highly doubt it works that way :D He could have put in cookie monsters along the traderoutes instead of camels and ships, the economy wouldn't be based on cookies.
FentanylWallaby 30 Sep, 2014 @ 12:20am
but less ships = less money
is losing money worth a few fps?
:x
RIP big guy 29 Sep, 2014 @ 6:53pm
a good fps boosting tip is to get a good computer
Boicote  [author] 29 Sep, 2014 @ 1:06pm
@방탄 수도사
It's possible to increase the number of trade ships. I will consider the possibility to create a mod to do that.
I like your suggestion, but that requires a completely new model for the trade ships. Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on creating new models :(.

@jabato98
The mod already does that :).

@VVeeknd
I will try:). My computer is old and I need to install/create mods like this to have a decent performance.
Frenchie 27 Sep, 2014 @ 8:32am
Make more fps mods!
Mikuzable 26 Sep, 2014 @ 11:28pm
You should make a mod with more of the ships. It would actually be good for comparing the fps increase and decrease. Ps.Great mod!
Javilos_Septim 26 Sep, 2014 @ 10:09am
could you make the same for camels/cows?
EighteenRabbitGTHS 24 Sep, 2014 @ 9:52pm
trade ships i never see any
Revelation 24 Sep, 2014 @ 8:39pm
Risk of sounding like a dick, would you consider a mod thats the exact same as this... but does it the other way? More boats is the way to go :D vast trade Empires should have fleets ;)

as a mere idea if you're modding lately... maybe put several ships together on the map (one icon moving), traveling together and make them less often ( to rep a fleet) I think you could use ONE base model so you HALF the effect on peoples computers but the appearance is improved? just an idea...
