when i come back to this game i might do tranquilizer turrets and other small ones
the larger ones don't really make sense to me inside
As for the patch, whether you do it or not, and how long you want to take your time doing it, is completely up to you, you're awesome either way
Have a great day
It's usually the CE team that takes up mod patches nowadays.
Made the fire foam turret a bit more expensive since the refueling didn't work properly.
Updated mod I found for the dependency, based on the description, it should work with this assuming this mod works with 1.5
Also, your foam turrets are broken. A standard firefoam turret has a fuel of 10, and has to be triggered by a colonist to work - they are not automatic like firefoam poppers (which have a ticker, and self-destruct on use). Once out of fuel, they can no longer be triggered, and must be refuled
Your ceiling mounted firefoam popper is automatic (which is of itself is technically fine since it is an upgrade) and also has a fuel capavity of 10. However, once it runs out of fuel, it will show the "out of fuel" icon, but still keep triggering on fires with infinite fuel.
Not sure if this is because they lack the trigger element coz they are automatic or some other reason, I didn't look too deeply into it.
I had a quick look, and adding additional research requirements won't be an issue, but I see what you mean - you'd have to make the actual turret to change range, accurary etc. That said, someone mentioned that the graphics should be reversed since they are ceiling mounted, and yeah. If you wanted to do that, you'd have to make the turret top in any case :/
You don't have to of course, but it would make it easier on me, since I won't have to make a patch XD
I would also second the opinion that their range should be lowered. Consider increasing accuracy, or recharge time and lowering the range. As a ceiling fixture, they won't be needing the same range as an outdoor turret in any case
other than that I understand this type of turret being in the base game being a bit cheaty but damn I just need security in my damn base
11/10
Let me know if you try it out.
