Make it snappy and only last like a maximum of 4 seconds, because taunts are quick and flashy
But Scout`s face is still uncanny (and funny).
-Scout is a baseball guy, but Tropic Crisis takes place in and around Brazil, where baseball is practically unheard of compared to futbol/soccer. I agreed with the idea for this taunt since it fits with what it was being released with.
-I should have switched the hands during the flairs from IK to FK, think that would help me pinpoint the issues of the hands not feeling connected to Scout's body that some people here mentioned. Completely on me, it was a bit of a difficult choice considering I don't have the same motion capture resources, and it's much harder to work with FK than IK for me since I'm not used to it.
-Finally, I do consider this taunt a lot more polished than my other taunts, I just think the pacing of the poses are a bit jank, and the IK arms really don't help with making it seem realistic. I'll probably make Scout do a few more exaggerated moves so it doesn't seem so stiff. Thanks for the criticism everybody, and the 5 stars (I'll improve it so it stays that way!)
- Could be better/adjusted to fit TF2's animation style
- Scout is giving the vibes that he doesn't want to do this, at all.
- His arms for the Loop, flair 1 and flair 2 is a bit janky
- Outro is a bit sad, what if he kicked the ball away or stop the ball on the ground?
PLUS, Scout's face is really uncanny in the image.
Also, the other critisisims, yeah, it's not really a taunt, but not really one of those role play taunts either that can at least make up for it by being funny. This would be one of those taunts that would get forgotten as soon as it would get into the game, regardless of polish.
@Gab Hmm, I don't know. The Scout isn't really meant to be seen as the most *capable* nor really charming class. That's sorta just a part of his character. :y
Otherwise the ball's animation feels weird, idk but just my though.
However (in my opinion) if you want this in the game, you'll need to smooth the animation. Else it feels artificial.
Again, this is great, be proud of yourself.
